Spin Palace Casino Review

It’s been a few months – maybe even a year – since I last reviewed Spin Palace Casino. The last time I checked them out, it looked as if they were stuck in 2001. So, imagine my surprise when I hit their site and saw their new, more modern design.

I did a double take. Then I immediately wondered, have they changed anything else about their casino?

That’s the question I aim to answer with this review, while taking a close look at their company history, banking options, promotions and games.

More importantly, I’ll answer the question– is Spin Palace worth your time and hard-earned money in 2023?

Who is Spin Palace? How long have they been in business?

Spin Palace is part of the Cityviews Group, but they were formerly under The Palace Group. They’ve been online since 2001, and are licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority. You can see their payout reports (where their games have been tested for randomness) on their website.

They have several semi-popular sister brands, which include: Ruby Fortune, Mummy’s Gold, Jackpot City and Gaming Club.

How’s their reputation? Have they been involved in any scams?

It depends on where you look.

ThePogg.com doesn’t recommend them. They give them a 5.6/10 rating, and say they have a shaky history due to being associated with the Digimedia group of casinos. This includes several casino groups like BrightShare, Wagershare, ReferBack and Fortune Lounge.

I couldn’t find the connection myself. And while I have no doubts Spin Palace (and likely its parent group(s)) have had its issues – because, who doesn’t, after 15+ years of business – I didn’t find anything worth noting.

Interestingly enough, the WizardOfOdds.com has blacklisted them, too, as well as all casinos under The Palace Group (or Buffalo Partners). Their reason:

…due to unfair business practices with their marketing business partners. No longer tolerant of unethical practices and due to the breach of contractual agreements, we have no other choice given this dishonorable reputation.

I’ve already talked about this in our Gaming Club Casino review (LINK) and our All Jackpots Casino review (LINK). But the gist of what I said is that, how can these guys blacklist them (as affiliate/marketing partners), but no one else blacklist them?

For example, CasinoListings.com gives Spin Palace an 8/10 rating, and says they can find little fault with them.

They have a 6.72/10 rating on AskGamblers.com. There are 13 complaints, only 2 of which have been resolved. But it looks like, at least one reason why is because Spin Palace doesn’t work with 3rd party mediation sites.

And, in a few threads, the original poster never updated their thread, yet it’s still marked as “unresolved.” It’s hard to put much weight into any of those.

And while they’re not listed on Casinomeister.com, at least one of their sister brands, Jackpot City, is. In fact, they’re an accredited casino.

I didn’t find anything worth noting on Google when I searched for Spin Palace scams or scandals, either.

The bottom line – the biggest problem for some of these sites (ThePogg.com, and sister brands like WizardOfOdds.com and LatestCasinoBonuses.com) is how affiliates have been treated. I understand what they’re saying, and even agree that how affiliates are treated can be a glimpse of what’s to come for how players may be treated.

But I’ve seen very little in terms of proof. Not only that, but if these affiliates have been treated poorly – and these are BIG affiliate brands – why aren’t other affiliates being treated unfairly, too. And if they are, why would they continue to promote Spin Palace?

It doesn’t make sense. And, I sense that there may be some bias – but I have no proof of that.

Anyway, because of all that, I’d have to say their reputation is at least average to fair. But I’ll be sure to update this review if/when any news surfaces that may suggest otherwise.

How do you contact Spin Palace’s support?

LIVE CHAT

Their support is available 24/7/365.

What payment/deposit methods does Spin Palace accept?

The following chart shows you both the deposit and cash out options Spin Palace accepts.

Payment Method Type Deposit Withdrawal
Credit Cards Credit Card
Debit Cards Debit Card
Paypal Web Wallet
Neteller Web Wallet
Skrill (Moneybookers) Web Wallet
PaySafeCard Prepaid Cards
EcoCard Web Wallet
Citadel Web Wallet
Instadebit E-Check
Direct Bank Transfer Internet Banking
Entropay Web Wallet
eCheck E-Check

**The only limits I could find is if you don’t have much in the way of lifetime deposits, but are trying to withdraw a large sum of money.

Here’s what it says in their terms:

Players who withdraw a sum of money that is 5 times or more, greater than their lifetime deposits across the Casino Group will liable for detailed game and play review and only be able to withdraw their winnings at a sum of €4,000 per week.

The remaining amount will be placed back in the player’s account until such time that they are eligible for a further withdrawal. This clause will only be applied at the discretion of casino management. All progressive wins are exempt from this clause.

So, the more money you deposit lifetime, then the smaller the odds are of you being confined to a $4,000 per week cash out limit.

It’s good news that progressive jackpots are excluded from this, too.

Other than that – cash outs may take up to 48 hours to process, and an additional four days to reach you or your account. It doesn’t sound like there are fees for most options. The exception is courier checks, however. Those are free, but only if you cash out more than $3,000 per request.

What welcome offers can you claim?

They have a 3-bonus welcome offers. Here’s what that looks like:

  • 1st Deposit – 100% match up to $250
  • 2nd Deposit – 25% match up to $300
  • 3rd Deposit – 50% match up to $450

You can receive as much as $1,000 total.

The playthrough on this offer is 50x. Any winnings from the bonus money can be cashed out once you complete the playthrough requirements.

Not all games will contribute equally, though. If you play anything other than slots, the playthrough requirement may be much higher – IF you can play the game to complete the bonus in the first place.

Here’s what the contribution percentages look like for non-slot and parlor games:

  • 8% - all table pokers, all roulettes, all video/power pokers (except all aces and jacks or better), all blackjacks (except classic blackjack) and casino war.
  • 0% (excluded games) - classic blackjack, all aces video/power pokers, jacks or better video/power pokers, all baccarats, all craps, red dog and sic bo.

Progressive games will count towards the playthrough at the rate of their non-progressive counterpart. For example, a progressive slot will count 100% because non-progressive slots count 100%.

The max bet is $0.50 per line and/or $8 per round.

Does Spin Palace offer additional deals?

They don’t have any additional offers that I could find. This is a bit different than most other casinos who often have a half-dozen or more offers on top of their welcome offer.

Spin Palace DOES have a loyalty and VIP program, though, which I’ll cover in the next section.

Is there a comp point and/or VIP program?

Spin Palace offers a Loyalty Club and VIP program. Let’s talk about the Loyalty Club first.

Everybody who plays for real money will be a club member. In fact, when you create a real money account, you’ll receive 500 free club points to get the ball rolling.

As is the case with 99.99% of all loyalty programs, you earn points for each real money bet you make. The more you play, the more points you earn, and the higher up the VIP ladder you climb. The higher you climb, the more perks you’re eligible to claim.

Here’s a chart showing each of their loyalty club tiers, the points needed to get to and maintain each one and the perks available to each.

Loyalty tiers Blue Silver Gold Platinum Diamond Privé
Entry points Zero 2,500 5,000 10,000 200,000 500,000

There are a couple of things that stand out to me:

  • The number of points required to maintain your status month-to-month drops as you move up the ladder. But, the amount is really small in relation to the points needed to first acquire that tier when you reach the top two levels.
  • That goes for the bonuses, too.
  • The top 2-4 levels will receive travel-related perks. This is often reserved for only the biggest players at other casinos. But, you can get access to varying degrees of travel-related perks just for being in the top 66% of club members.

Ultimately – the perks get much, MUCH better when you get to the top levels. They don’t scale linearly.

Another thing I noticed is that you can exchange points for cashback. What I like about their setup is that you can receive more credits (cashback) the longer you wait to exchange your points.

Here’s what I mean:

Club Points Redeemed Credits Earned Extra Credits Earned Total Credits
1,000 Club Points €10 no Extra credits €10
5,000 Club Points 5x €10 €5 Extra credits €55
10,000 Club Points 10x €10 €20 Extra credits €120

Instead of turning in 1,000 or 3,000 points, wait until you get 5,000 points, and you’ll receive an extra $5 for your patience.

But, you don’t want to wait too long to use your points. All points expire 90 days after the last time you played in the casino.

That wraps up their loyalty club. Now, let’s talk about their VIP program.

I get the impression that their VIP program is a higher-end, semi-exclusive club. If you’re already a VIP member at another casino, you can send them the details and they’ll review your application. Otherwise, you’ll have to earn 150,000 loyalty points and deposit a minimum of $10,000 to qualify.

Once you qualify, you’ll receive an official invitation. That comes with perks such as:

  • Instant ‘Platinum’ status for one month.
  • VIP tournaments
  • Expedited cash-outs
  • Exclusive VIP promotions

After looking at their standard loyalty club, I imagine they take pretty good care of their VIP members.

Where do Spin Palace’s games come from? What kinds of games can you play? How many are there?

They use Microgaming and Evolution software. This means you’ll have 450+ different games to play in the following categories:

  • Slots
  • Blackjack
  • Video Poker
  • Live Dealer
  • Roulette
  • Craps
  • Keno
  • Baccarat
  • Scratch Cards
  • Table Games
  • Progressive Jackpots

What devices are Spin Palace’s games compatible with? Do they have mobile games?

They have a download and instant play (browser) casino. They have a mobile casino, too, which is compatible with iOS, Android and Blackberry phones and tablets.

What are some examples of games that you can play?

Unfortunately, they don’t list previews of each game you can play on their site. They only post a little information about what you can expect to find, and then require you to create an account to see each game.

So, the following examples were pulled from other sites, as well as our own database of Microgaming games:

Blackjack GamesBlackjack

  • Atlantic City Blackjack
  • European Blackjack
  • European Blackjack Redeal
  • Classic Blackjack
  • Vegas Single Deck
  • Vegas Downtown
  • Spanish 21
  • Super Fun 21
  • Hi-Lo 13 European Blackjack
  • Premier High Streak Blackjack
  • Double Exposure
  • Pontoon

This is an impressive collection of blackjack games, which should satisfy all players, from your recreational gamblers to blackjack aficionados.

Video PokerVideo Poker

  • Aces & Eights
  • All Aces Poker
  • Bonus Deuces
  • Deuces Wild
  • Jacks or Better
  • Jacks or Better Power Poker
  • Jackpot Deuces
  • Supajax
  • Louisiana Double
  • Double Double Bonus
  • All American
  • Tens or Better
  • Deuces & Joker
  • Joker Poker Power Poker

The same idea applies here – there are plenty of video poker machines to choose from. People like me, who are plenty happy being able to play jacks or better, will have more options than what we know what to do with.

Card GamesTable + Live Dealer Games

  • Baccarat
  • Red Dog
  • Roulette
  • 3 Card Poker
  • Craps
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • Sic Bo
  • Crown and Anchor
  • Cyberstud Poker
  • Double Exposure
  • Poker Pursuit
  • Keno
  • Spanish Blackjack
  • Spingo
  • Three Wheeler
  • Ballistic Bingo
  • Bingo
  • Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em
  • Three Card Poker
  • Casino Hold ‘Em
  • European Roulette

Other than the quantity of games available, one thing that stands out to me are the unique games I haven’t seen much or even heard of before. For example, Ballistic Bingo, Springo and Poker Pursuit are all pretty new to me.

Then you have duplicate games, but from different software providers. This may give you a change of pace in terms of rules and/or graphics.

The bottom line – there’s plenty of variety in their table and live dealer sections.

SlotsProgressives + Regular Slots

Here are some of the progressive slots you can expect to find:

  • Cash Splash
  • Fruit Fiesta
  • King CashaLot
  • Lotsaloo
  • Major Millions
  • MegaSpin Prog. Major Millions
  • Mega Moolah
  • Mega Moolah 5 Reel Drive
  • Mega Moolah Isis
  • Mega Moolah Summertime
  • The Dark Knight™
  • Treasure Nile
  • Tunzamunni
  • Wowpot

Mega Moolah is easily the most popular one on this list. Google it, and you’ll see that its paid out tens of millions over the past few years.

One machine I’d suggest playing is The Dark Knight. I’ve never played for the progressive, because I could never afford to for long. But I have played all lines for the min ($0.01), and I remember the bonus rounds and games being a lot of fun.

Some of the regular slot machines you can play include:

SlotsSlots

  • Adventure Palace
  • Agent Jane Blonde
  • Age of Discovery
  • Alaskan Fishing
  • Alley Cats
  • Arctic Fortune
  • Asian Beauty
  • Avalon
  • Bars & Stripes
  • Beach Babes
  • Bearly Fishing
  • Bomber Girls
  • Boogie Monsters
  • Break da Bank
  • Buffet Bonanza
  • Bush Telegraph
  • Cabin Fever
  • Cashapillar
  • CashOccino
  • Cashville
  • Celtic Crown
  • Centre Court
  • Chain Mail
  • Deck the Halls
  • Doctor Love
  • Dogfather
  • Dolphin Tale
  • Dragonz
  • Eagle’s Wings
  • Electric Diva
  • Fat Lady Sings
  • Fearless Frederick
  • First Past the Post

  • Fruit vs Candy
  • Jungle Jim El Dorado
  • Karaoke Party
  • Life of Riches
  • Lost Vegas
  • Reel Spinner
  • Secret Romance
  • Shanghai Beauty
  • Tarzan®
  • Wild Orient

You’ll have a lot of choices here between 3 and 5-reel classics and video slots. You’ll have no problem finding slots with features, bonus rounds, multipliers, scatters and more.

Overall, they have an excellent selection of games that I think will appeal to 99% of players.

This past July, Spin Palace decided to dip their toes into the sports betting world by introducing a full sportsbook product to their site.  This is an exciting move for the company and for players, as having a one-wallet solution for both sports and casino makes it so much easier to cross-promote.

This is especially true for recreational gamblers who may like to make a bet on a major event like Champions League but don’t have an account specifically for that purpose.

Making a decision to get into the sportsbook business is not something a company takes lightly.  Managing a sports betting company is significantly different than running a casino, and to be able to run it properly, Spin Palace will have had to add staff with the experience to be able to know what to look for from their betting database.

For the software, the company has chosen to work with SB Tech.  These guys have been white-labeling their software for years and have many clients across Europe.

Having tested this software before, I can tell you that it will give you everything you need to make all the sports bets you want, and the software is powerful enough to ensure that when you make the decision to place a wager, it will be done quickly so you aren’t affected by any line changes.

A quick glance at the Spin Palace Sports site shows that there is a long list of sports you can wager on:

  • American Football
  • Aussie Rules
  • Badminton
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Boxing
  • Cricket
  • Cycling
  • Darts
  • esports
  • Floorball
  • Gaelic Football
  • Golf
  • Handball
  • Ice Hockey
  • MMA
  • Motor Racing
  • Netball
  • Rugby League
  • Rugby Union
  • Snooker & Pool
  • Soccer
  • Specials
  • Speedway
  • Surfing
  • Table Tennis
  • Tennis
  • Trotting
  • Virtual Sports
  • Volleyball
  • Winter Olympics
  • Winter Sports

While there are many traditional sports listed here, it is important to note that Virtuals and esports are prominently displayed here.

These days, millennials don’t want to wait a full 90 minutes for an event to finish to find out the outcome of their bet; virtual sports give them a chance to bet on their favorite teams but in computer simulations that only take a few minutes to complete.

I know that may be hard to fathom for seasoned sports fans, but this is indeed the future!

Finally, if you like to make bets while a game is in progress, then you are in luck with Spin Palace.  Their Live Betting feature allows you to watch odds change as a game moves on, and when you feel the time and the price is right, you can make your bet.

This is particularly good for hedging your bet; if you think that your original bet is going to lose, you can place a bet in-game on the opposing team in order to cancel the two out and head back to the drawing board.

Now is the time to check out the Spin Palace sportsbook as they have a special offer for new players; you can receive a free bet match up to $200.

This is a great way to spark your bankroll right
from your first experience in the sportsbook!

Here we are at the end, and we still have a couple questions to answer – did Spin Palace upgrade their casino along with their design, and is Spin Palace worth your time and hard-earned money in 2023?

The answer to the first question – no, it appears that everything else is pretty much the same. Only the design has been upgraded for 2017.

Now for the answer to my second question – I think so.

I wish they offered more information about their games instead of forcing you to create an account.

I’m also not a fan of how few offers they appear to have. Not only that, but a 50x playthrough is a tad high.

But, all that said, a $1,000 deposit bonus and 450+ casino games is hard to ignore. I think there are plenty of readers who would be happy with both.

So, while Spin Palace is far from one of the best casinos online – especially for international players – I see no reason not to check these guys out if you’re in the neighborhood for a new online casino.
