The following is our Black Diamond Casino review. If you’re interested in playing here, I recommend you read our review to the end. We cover important details you’ll want to know first, such as:
Our goal is to help you decide if Black Diamond Casino is a good fit BEFORE you sign up and make a deposit. So, get to reading our review and we’ll see you at the end.
Here are some details behind Black Diamond and the people who own and run them.
Black Diamond Casino launched in 2009. They’re owned and operated by Deck Media, along with other properties like Spartan Slots and Slots Capital Casino.
They have 9 complaints on AskGamblers.com. When I looked, one was still in mediation and two others were unresolved. But of the two unresolved complaints, not only were they old – one was from 12/2014 and the other from 1/2015 – but Black Diamond responded to both. They concluded that both players were trying to pull fast ones – one blatant fraud, and the other bonus abuse.
Granted, this is Black Diamond’s word against the players’, but think about it like this — if Black Diamond wanted to hide or screw players over, would they participate on a public forum, much less respond to player complaints?
Nah. No way.
Other than that, there are no problems I know of. I’ve mentioned in our other reviews some of the issues people have with the company and some of their properties. But I feel they’re overstating things.
If you look around the web, at either Black Diamond or Deck Media, you’ll see that they’re not on any blacklists. Not only that, but many of Deck Media’s properties, including Black Diamond, are either endorsed or accredited at many legit review sites, including Wizard of Odds and Casinomeister.com.
I trust their judgement. You can, too.
Players from the following countries cannot play at Black Diamond Casino:
Here are the banking options you can use to make a deposit:
One option I’m surprised not to see is bitcoin. It seems like this is hit or miss across Deck Media’s network. Especially since they accept US players – you’d think bitcoin would be standard.
Here are the options you can use to cash out your winnings:
The minimum cash out is $100. Fees range from $10 to $30, depending on the option you use and the amount you’re cashing out.
Black Diamond doesn’t have a ton of big promotions outside their welcome bonus. But they do have several daily offers you can claim, as well as a VIP program you can participate in.
Here are the details behind each of their evergreen offers, including details about limits, playthroughs and any thoughts I have about them.
Get a 500% match bonus on each of your first 5 deposits. On top of that you’ll get 25 free spins.
This sounds like a generous offer. But one thing I don’t like is how vague Black Diamond is about how it works. They don’t make it clear how much you can get with the bonus, nor do they mention it on their bonus terms page.
I found the details on another website. The most you can claim with this offer is a max of $5,000.
They also don’t make it clear what the rollover is. They list 3 different rollover requirements. The one that applies depends on the offer you’re claiming.
Since they distinguish each rollover with welcome deposit bonus, bonus money or a sign-up bonus, I think it’s safe to assume the rollover for the welcome bonus above is 50x.
And keep in mind that each game contributes a different amount. Here’s a chart showing how Black Diamond does things:
I emailed support for clarification on their rollover – they weren’t much help. This is all they had to say:
For further information you can always check our website.
We are here for you 24/7
I replied, asking for more clarification – for them to be more specific. But all they did was send me the same reply.
I gave up after that.
Black Diamond offers daily deals. Each day there’s something different for you to claim. For example, on Wednesday you can claim:
And here’s what you can claim on Friday:
Some days have more offers than others. But no matter what you’ll have a deposit bonus ready for you – if you want it.
Black Diamond also runs several tournaments. They have 4 different options going right now. Those include:
For each of these, you play a game like slots or blackjack – whatever the tournament allows – and you get points for every bet you make. Your accumulated points will earn you a spot on their leaderboard. The higher up you are on the leaderboard, the more prizes you (can) win. Some tournaments pay out multiple spots, while in others you need to have the most points to win the prize.
They have a multi-tier VIP program. There are 6 tiers in all, which include:
They don’t share many details about what it takes to reach each tier, or what you get. All they say is you get access to more games, exclusive offers, tournaments and larger bonuses.
I’m a fan of larger match percentage bonus because you get more bang for your buck. In this case, you get $5 for every $1 you deposit.
I also like the daily bonuses and tournaments. Black Diamond gives you several reasons to come back and play often.
But I DON’T LIKE how vague they are. They don’t make it clear the max bonus you can claim, nor do they make it very clear what the rollover requirements for the welcome bonus is. And when I tried to get clarification via email, they sent me what appeared to be a template email – as if they didn’t read my email at all.
This would make me slightly worried about what I’d be getting myself into when I signed up, much less made a deposit and claimed a bonus. How do you know the offer is right for you if you don’t have all the details? This is stuff you want to know BEFORE you sign up.
Black Diamonds gets their games from a variety of software providers, including Rival, Betsoft, Parlay and Pragmatic.
The benefit is the volume of diverse games you’ll get to choose from.
The downside is they continue to work with Betsoft despite Betsoft having issues with their progressive jackpot machines. The short version is they’ve denied winners their payout after hitting a jackpot for bogus reasons. And certain jackpots cannot be won due to a programming error. Those are the biggest of the several issues they seem to be having. You can learn more about them on vegasclick.com/online/betsoft-jackpot-issue.
Our sources say no. They simply suggest you avoid playing the progressive machines.
I’m not sure that’s good enough for me. You have to question Black Diamond’s ethics if they continue to work with companies who have faulty games and stiff players who win. What’s going to happen if you play a progressive from a different software company, and they don’t pay? Or, what happens if there’s an error?
Is Black Diamond going to step up and pay?
They should. But history has shown that few online casinos do so.
I point this out to be 100% transparent. It’s up to you if this is enough for you to avoid their casino and play elsewhere, or if you can look past that and simply avoid their progressive slots.
If you fall in the latter group, we’ve listed all their games below so you’ll know what to expect when you sign up.
I like seeing so many options. However, keep in mind the only difference between some of these is whether or not they’re single or multi-hand games, or if they have a progressive jackpot.
That said, even without the duplicates this is a solid selection of video poker machines. I think most people will be happy with it.
I’m surprised at how few blackjack options there are. You’ll find double this at most (US) online casinos. Especially considering all the software companies they work with. But I’d guess that most people will be fine with it. Only hardcore enthusiasts will want to consider playing elsewhere.
You’ll notice the software company names next to each game. I left that so you can see one of the perks to working with multiple companies – more games to play. And even though some of these are duplicate games (from different software providers), this would still be an impressive and unique list if you removed them.
Another thing I liked seeing are the live dealer games. Not every US casino offers them. So, this might be reason enough for some people to check them out.
This is an impressive list of slots. You’ll get a little bit of everything here ranging from 3-reel classics to 5-reel video slots to progressives, slots with bonuses, features and a whole lot more.
Outside of their progressives, Betsoft’s 3D slots are worth checking out. They’re a lot of fun if you prefer slots with fancy graphics and fun bonus rounds.
Rival is known for their slots, too – specifically their i-Slot series. These slot machines have a running storyline where the game, reels, bonus rounds, etc. change with the story. A neat feature is the ability to stop playing, but then come back later and start playing where you left off.
The bottom line – there’s a ton to do here, even if you decide to skip their progressives.
You have a couple options.
If you’re on your computer, you can download their software or you can play from your browser. I prefer the no download ‘browser’ option usually. However, keep in mind you may have a slightly smaller selection of games to choose from compared to the download. It’ll still be enough for most people, but it’s something you’ll want to consider beforehand. You might even have to download their software first to see if it’ll make a difference to you.
You can also play from your mobile device. When I checked their site out, it looks like it’s mobile responsive – you’ll play the games directly from your browser, so there’s nothing to download.
Both Apple and Android devices are supported. And since they use Betsoft, I know some Windows and BlackBerry devices are supported, too, though these are more hit and miss.
Black Diamond’s not bad overall. But I do wish they’d make a few changes:
The bottom line – there are better options, but how much better is hard to say, and it sort of depends on what you’re specifically looking for from an online casino.
I used to like this casino, but after seeing all the reviews, I would suggest staying away from them. All they want is your money. If they don't like you, they don't answer your emails and they block the live chat option so you can't even talk to anyone. I think this casino is a scam and it's changed so much now, if you play here, you're wasting your money. It's a total scam. They still owe me money.Plus, there is no phone number to contact them, that should be the number clue they are a scam.
Withdraw limit is capped at $500. I put my money in and did everything they asked to get a withdraw only to find out I can't withdraw my wining. So I called support and once I started stating how unfair it was the Indian guy all of a sudden couldn't hear me and hung up the phone after saying 'hello.... hello... hello" So if you put money into this casino, get ready to not be able to collect or to jump through unnecessary documentation. I just put my first $500 e-check request in today and we will see if I Even get that. Its going to take 20+ weeks to get all of it. In regards to the bonus play. After winning my money, i had to play another $1,800 in bets in order to finally start the collection process. So basically, if I didn't win the amount I won, I would never come out ahead. STAY AWAY. SCAM CASINO ALERT
Black diamond casino is just scam...they give you a free chip like every other casino do,but when you start winning with it,they won't let you withdraw nothing..Customer service will tell you it's just a fun chip, but in the email,it says "Good news, we’re giving you a $25 Chip! Your gift has just arrived and is ready for you to use! To claim your $25 simply click on the above image and log into your account. As soon as you do, your gift will be instantly credited and you can start winning!"
i have a huge complaint such as the site dumping over 55,000,000,000,000,000,000 in a time of about two weeks. Once I won a substantial amount and was still playing to pay, it continued to dump. I have never just played for free and a constant paying customer. The amount I'm talking was well over 40,000,000,000,000,000,000 and suddenly my account went to the infamous 9,200,000,000,000,000,000 that it had dumped to two other previous times. Then, I couldn't winti keep my winnings and eventually went to 845,000. They blamed a glitch in the aystwms of gaming that they would all dump in higher numbers!!!! Like I'm an idiot!!! Even though I had large amounts, I continued to pay. I launched several complaints, and they want me to start another one of their sites, but not could replace the large amount I lost. Now mind you, they have supposed jackpots that are a lot more than my winnings, but yet, their site dumps with the much smaller amount I had one, virtually telling me that if someone could actually win those jackpots, their system would just dump them and their winnings would go down to 9,200,000,000,000,000,000 like mine. Another, do they think I'm stupid?!!! I've asked for them to put the winnings back at 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 at a time until I had exhausted all they had stolen from me, or have the game enhanced with a savings account in it to withdraw funds when needed once players got to a point of endangering to dump, or simply fix their system. Again, all they want is for me to open up and join another game that they would put a large amount in, so they can take more and have me paying for two of their sites. I have taken screen shots of all conversations so it's not a he said, she said.
