BoVegas Online Casino Review

In February of 2017 the BoVegas Casino online gambling platform appeared on the scene.

The name bears a close similarity to the Bodog and Bovada family of online gambling properties, but as far as we can tell, BoVegas is simply trying to ride on that industry leader’s coattails. We can’t say that with certainty, however, and for all we know Bovada’s operators are quietly expanding their empire with an offshoot brand.

Some sources claim the site is owned by Blue Media N.V., a small operator with two sites (Golden Lion Casino and Super Nova Casino) under its umbrella. Again, this is quite possible, but the BoVegas Casino website offers no concrete evidence to back that up.

In any case, the main features of BoVegas Casino are provided in partnership with top notch software provider Real Time Gaming (RTG). Online gambling fans the world over are familiar with RTG powered casinos like BoVegas, and the brand has become synonymous with cutting edge virtual casino replication over the last decade.

What makes BoVegas Casino unique, at least in this day and age, is the platform’s availability to American players. While most online gambling enterprises have picked up stakes, following the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) of 2006, a few holdouts have remained in place to fill the US facing void.

These sites tend to be smaller and scaled down when compared to the titans of the industry, and for good reason. But as you’ll learn in the Frequently Asked Questions section which concludes this page, the UIGEA has come under doubt in recent years, and online gambling is poised to make a legal comeback throughout the country.

BoVegas Casino appears to be banking on that political reversal occurring sometime soon, so for the time being anyway, American players can enjoy their favorite Real Time Gaming (RTG) casino games over the internet.

As one of the more recent additions to the online casino landscape, BoVegas Casino is still an unknown quantity of sorts, but here three aspects of the site to keep in mind:

Affiliation With a Major Player Like Real Time Gaming (RTG) Matters

You can’t really go wrong with Real Time Gaming (RTG) software, and some of the most popular online gambling portals on the planet are RTG powered platforms. With a comprehensive menu of classic games and new additions, advanced graphics and visuals to accentuate the gameplay, and the utmost in game integrity ensured by proprietary random number generators (RNGs), the company is at the head of the pack. BoVegas Casino could’ve skimped on expensed by contracting with an inferior software provider, so the choice to roll with Real Time Gaming (RTG) is an encouraging sign.

The New Kid On The Block Must Market Itself to Grow, Which Means More Bonus Offers for You

You’ll find out the scoop in the next two sections, but basically, a new business has to work hard to attract new customers. In the online casino game, that means generous bonus offers which provide “free” funds to new players and regulars. Of course, nothing in this world is truly free, and the terms and conditions affixed to BoVegas Casino’s bonus offers are rather onerous. But when many competitors are offering just a single Welcome Bonus to new players making their first deposit, this site has three big ones to work with. It’ll take some work to unlock these bonuses, but if you can swing it, BoVegas Casino can put up to $8,000 into your account just for signing up.

BoVegas Casino is Licensed by Curaçao, Which Actually Means Very Little

Many online gambling platforms proclaim themselves to be legitimate by virtue of an “official gaming license,” but not all licenses are created equal. In most cases, these licenses are distributed by regulators from various island nations, such as Costa Rica, Antigua, or the Dutch Caribbean nation of Curaçao. But while the first two countries I just mentioned have their gaming industries governed by legitimate regulatory agencies, Curaçao is the exception. Simply put, the country’s government hoped to cash in on the online gambling craze that swept the world back in the mid 2000s. In actuality, Curaçao’s so called “eGaming License” has been around since 1996, but in more than two decades, it hasn’t been much more than a rubber stamp. Without the genuine oversight provided by a true regulatory body, players using sites like BoVegas Casino have no recourse should shenanigans take place. Say the site’s ownership group decides to spend player funds. In this regrettable, but all too common, scenario, you’d be left on the hook for any and all losses incurred. After all, what can Curaçao really do about the situation if the country lacks a proper regulatory agency? This doesn’t mean BoVegas Casino is a fraud, don’t get me wrong there. I’m simply pointing out that a license from Curaçao isn’t really backed by anything substantive, so players are on their own if anything shady happens.

At the moment, BoVegas Casino is attempting to build its brand awareness through a pair of Welcome Bonus offers:

  • 250 Percent Slots Match using Bonus Code: BOVEGAS250
  • 300 Percent Slots Match using Bonus Code: BOVEGAS300

Take note that you can only use the second bonus code for a 300 percent match after using the first.

These are the standard Welcome Bonus offers displayed on the home page to every visitor, but a little digging around online unearthed another gem.

Certain affiliates tasked with driving new traffic to the site grant access to a special Welcome Bonus offer, one which can be used for up to $8,000 in additional funds. This is a 400 percent match on your first deposit of up to $2,000, which is a very generous offer.

Additionally, regular players can take advantage of the following three recurring bonus offers:

  • 50 percent Weekend Slots Match + 30 Free Spins on Nova 7s using Bonus Code: GETWILD
  • Up to 230 percent Slots Match + 25 Free Spins on Panda’s Magic using Bonus Code: CASHBASH
  • Up to 300 percent Monthly Slots Match using Bonus Code: VEGASLOVE
  • Up to 150 percent Monthly Card Games Match using Bonus Code: ACERICH

Bonus Details

According to the site’s Terms and Conditions page, which includes no less than 87 mentions of the word “bonus,” all match bonuses like the ones described above are subject to a play through wagering requirement of 30x.

Remember, these bonus funds promised by every online casino don’t really come free. If they did, sharp players would simply claim the bonus, play a few inconsequential hands or spins, and click “Cashout” to earn a quick profit.

Instead, online casinos require you to wager a certain multiple of your bonus fund amount before it is “unlocked” for withdrawal purposes. That means a $100 bonus with a 30x play through multiple requires $3,000 in subsequent wagers be placed before you can unlock the c note.

Making things even tougher, BoVegas Casino applies that 30x multiple to both your bonus funds and the initial deposit amount.

As always, I recommend poring through the site’s Terms and Conditions page yourself to make sense of this fine print maze.

The following bonus codes offer various percentage matches, based on the amount of your deposit:

VEGASLOVE

  • Deposit $25 or more for 175 percent
  • Deposit $50 or more for 210 percent
  • Deposit $75 or more for 230 percent
  • Deposit $200 or more for 300 percent

ACERICH

  • Deposit $25 or more for 100 percent
  • Deposit $75 or more for 125 percent
  • Deposit $150 or more for 150 percent

BoVegas is primarily a US facing platform, so obviously US dollars are accepted here, but the site also does business throughout Europe and the rest of the world. In fact, only four countries are listed as “restricted” by BoVegas Casino (see the FAQ section), so the company really is cosmopolitan by nature.

The following four major currencies can be used to fund your BoVegas Casino account:

  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Euros (EUR)
  • British Pounds Sterling (GBP)
  • United States Dollars (USD)

When it comes to the security tools used to protect player accounts, and preserve game integrity, the first step begins before you can even make that first withdrawal. To initiate a cashout request, players must first follow through with the site’s rigorous Account Verification process. This ensures that the person trying to withdraw funds is actually the player who won them, while providing concrete evidence that the account is in good standing.

It’s mostly just a lot of paperwork to be honest, but it’s definitely reassuring to know that BoVegas Casino won’t simply send my money off to the first person who tries to cash out. Take a look below to see the steps you’ll need to complete to verify your account:

  • Copy of ID (back and front in color)
  • Copy of the credit card used (back and front in color). Company requires only first and last four (4) digits of the card to verify it in the system with the player’s signature on the back
  • Photo of the player holding his/her ID close to the face in good quality and in color;
  • Card verification form
  • Faxback form, filled in with necessary details for the wire transfer.
  • Utility bill (or any other official document, containing player’s current physical address and full name on it), not older than 3 (three) months

In terms of internal security measures, BoVegas Casino takes advantage of the 256 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) data encryption system to shield your sensitive data.

One red flag that stood out concerned the following section on game integrity:

“We guarantee fair play at any time and within any game chosen through the use of a Random Number Generator (RNG). This known system warrants absolute random results and has been widely tested by running hundreds of millions of game rounds. BoVegas casino is committed to a policy of constant fraud detection and its prevention in all aspects of our gaming platform. Any suspected fraudulent activity will not be tolerated on our site. Any activity will result in immediate account closure, forfeiture of any winnings, and might result in civil and/or criminal prosecution towards the player in question. To verify the identity of our members, we rely on tested and proven security procedures when processing player transactions.”

At first glance, this appears to be a well-reasoned security strategy, but pay close attention to the details. The site mentions using a random number generator (RNG), without specifying which one. They reference a fraud detection policy, without mentioning anything in particular about how that policy is implemented. And terms like “tested and proven security procedures” are simply too generic to mean anything of substance.

I’ll assume that the RNG reference is linked to BoVegas Casino’s affiliation with Real Time Gaming (RTG), which produces its own RNG software to power hundreds of online casino products. But the rest of that section is very vague, and I have my suspicions whenever a site doesn’t reveal the specific companies or services it contracts with to ensure player security.

Moving on to the banking methods used to move money to and from your player account, BoVegas offers a streamlined selection compared to larger platforms.

BoVegas Casino is limited to table games and virtual slot machines for the time being, which means no sports betting.

That’s curious too, because several Real Time Gaming (RTG) powered online casinos are linked to branded sportsbooks. And the 5 Dimes online sportsbook, one of the world’s largest and a recognized industry leader for two decades now, partners with Real Time Gaming (RTG) to run its offshoot casino platform.

As a newly launched site, BoVegas Casino may be testing the waters before diving into full-fledged online gaming operations.

That would explain the lack of a poker room component as well.

On the other hand, smaller boutique sites like this that are serving American customers in violation of US law tend to prefer anonymity above exposure. Keeping things limited in scope to casino games only, while competitors dare the government to intervene by offering casino, sportsbook, and poker, is a smart strategy for a new site like BoVegas Casino.

At first glance, the BoVegas Casino main lobby appears to be lacking in a certain sophistication.

But that all depends on which BoVegas Casino portal you happen to access. Thanks to the tangled web of Google’s search engine optimization strategies, various searches for “BoVegas Casino” or “BoVegas Online Casino” return links to slightly different versions of the platform.

Those variations can be found below:

  • Primary site: www.bovegas.com
  • Mobile site: www.bovegasmobilecasino.com
  • Flash based browser site: www.bovegasflashcasino.com

As you can see, that’s quite a selection, so let’s run through each one briefly.

The first on the list takes you to the most polished version of BoVegas Casino, so this should be your go-to destination.

The second is optimized for mobile use, and is best accessed using your iOS or Android powered smartphone or tablet.

The third is simply a scaled down (in appearance, not functionality) version of the primary site, which can be played without any software download. Instead, players use Flash animated versions of their favorite games straight from a Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Firefox browser window.

No matter which variation you use, the sign up process may be confusing at first, as the site’s designers took a muddled approach here.

You’ll likely head for the “Download” button near the top of the screen, hoping to download BoVegas Casino software directly to your computer. Usually, this would open up a file download function on your screen, and you’d simply follow the prompts to save the software.

In this case, however, that “Download” button just re directs you to the same basic lobby screen. So what gives?

It turns out BoVegas Casino is set up to deny full access to anybody who has not registered for an account. That means you’ll need to find the “Sign Up” button first, creating and registering your new account, before you can actually download the software suite.

Confusing, like I said…

Of course, you can always take advantage of the non-download, Flash based browser version, but the benefit of Real Time Gaming (RTG) advanced graphics is mitigated this way.

In any event, once you’ve gained access to BoVegas Casino – one way or another – the actual Games menu is exactly what Real Time Gaming (RTG) fans have come to expect. On the slimmer side in terms of selection, perhaps, but for a site with only two months of running time, the options are numerous enough to quell any complaints from this reviewer.

I’ve compiled a virtual rolodex of BoVegas Casino’s entire Games menu, divided by game types, so scroll through to find your favorite formats and variants:

Table Games

Thanks to its affiliation with Real Time Gaming (RTG), the BoVegas Casino table games menu is pretty well rounded.

It can’t match many of its larger competitors, mind you, but that’s to be expected from a newly launched boutique site like this. As time goes on, the table games menu – particularly the thin roulette and blackjack sections – will likely be fleshed out with greater variety.

For now though, you’ll be able to play basic forms of every classic table game, along with several modern additions to the casino floor, using high powered graphics and animations. And as always, the Real Time Gaming (RTG) random number generator (RNG) ensures that the gameplay experience holds true to the actual odds and probabilities.

Below you’ll find the table game family tree broken down into game type, complete with full listings of BoVegas Casino’s current titles, and useful information on rules, setup, and expected return rates:

Card GamesRoulette

  • American Roulette – Standard version of game using double zero wheel
  • European – Standard version of game using single zero wheel
GAME WHEEL EVEN MONEY BETS ALL OTHER BETS
American Double zero 5.26 percent 5.26 percent*
European Single zero 2.70 percent 2.70 percent

*Betting on the 0 00 1 2 3 combination carries a house edge of 7.89 percent

Blackjack GamesBlackjack

  • Blackjack – Standard version using Las Vegas Strip rules
  • European Blackjack – Modified version using European rules
  • Face Up 21 – Variant based on exposing both dealer cards
  • Match Play 21 – RTG Version of Spanish 21, a player friendly blackjack variant
  • Perfect Pairs Blackjack – Standard game featuring the Perfect Pairs side bet
  • Pontoon – Blackjack variant offering extremely player friendly rules
  • Super 21 – Blackjack variant offering extremely player friendly rules
GAME DECKS SOFT 17 DOUBLE BJ PAYS RETURN
Blackjack 6 Hit Any 2 1.5 to 1 99.46 percent
Perfect Pairs BJ 6 Hit Any 2 1.5 to 1 99.46 percent
Pontoon $2 Hit Any 2 2 to 1 99.35 percent
Match Play 21 $6 Hit Any 2 1.5 to 1 99.27 percent
Face Up 21 $6 Hit 9 to 11 1 to 1 99.25 percent
Super 21 $6 Hit Any 2 1 to 1 98.94 percent

As is usually the case, when it comes to the expected return, you’ll be better served by sticking to the standard version of blackjack, rather than experimenting with new variants.

Of course, all of these games are within 0.50 percent of one another in that regard, so you won’t be sacrificing a ton of equity by switching to Super 21 from time to time. But over the infinite long run, keeping your twenty one action focused on basic blackjack is your best bet.

Card GamesBaccarat

The Real Time Gaming (RTG) designers recognize that baccarat can only be dressed up so much, and on that count, the software for BoVegas Casino includes just a standard version of the game.

Las Vegas, and indeed, global rules apply, so this game will play out just like any other baccarat table you’ve ever been at. A pair of two card hands (Player and Banker) will be dealt, and your job is to bet on which will create a total closest to 9, using both an optional third card draw and specific scoring rules.

And because the game is standardized, the usual pay table as seen below is in effect:

BET PAYS HOUSE EDGE
Banker 0.95 to 1 1.06 percent
Player 1 to 1 1.24 percent
Tie 8 to 1 14.36 percent
Pairs 11 to 1 10.36 percent

Specialty GamesOther Table Games and Card Games

  • Caribbean 21 – Blackjack variant based on ability to split any two starting cards
  • Caribbean Hold’em Poker – RTG version of Casino Hold’em, a five card poker game

  • Tri Card Poker – RTG version of standard Three Card Poker
  • Vegas Three Card Rummy – Player friendly RTG only version of Three Card poker

Video Poker

One of the benefits afforded by the Real Time Gaming (RTG) software engine comes from its versatility, which is demonstrated perfectly in the video poker section.

Fans of the five card automated game will find 14 distinct versions to choose from, but the menu doesn’t end there. By enabling almost every variant with multi play capability, BoVegas Casino turns those 14 games into several dozen more.

That’s accomplished by setting most titles to dispense either a single hand, in the standard format, along with 3, 10, or 52 hands using multi play. Experienced video poker players appreciate the additional drawing opportunity provided by multi play games, as you’ll have several chances to catch the right card on highly prized draws.

As always with Real Time Gaming (RTG) products, the interface and graphics experienced by players are second to none, so sit back and enjoy all the video poker action you can handle on BoVegas Casino.

Below you’ll find an alphabetized listing of all 51 video poker variants offered by BoVegas Casino, including the multiple hand (multi play) functionality when warranted:

Double Double Jackpot (multi play) 150 150 150 80 50 9 6 5 3 1 1 98.95 percent
Deuces Wild (multi play) 25 15 9 4 4 3 2 1 98.91 percent
Deuces Wild 25 15 9 4 4 3 2 1 98.91 percent
Aces & Eights (multi play) 7 5 4 3 2 1 98.63 percent
Double Bonus (multi play) 40 10 7 5 3 1 1 98.57 percent
Joker Poker 150 80 50 20 6 5 3 2 1 1 98.51 percent
Joker Poker (multi play) 150 80 50 20 6 5 3 2 1 1 98.51 percent
All American (multi play) 30 8 8 8 3 1 1 98.49 percent
Bonus Poker Deluxe 50 80 8 6 4 98.49 percent
Bonus Poker Deluxe (multi play) 50 80 8 6 4 98.49 percent
Jacks or Better (multi play) 8 5 97.29 percent

Pay close attention to the multi play signifier next to each title, which again, refers to the ability to play 3, 10, or 52 hands per deal.

In most instances, like Joker Poker and Bonus Poker Deluxe, the multi play function doesn’t change the pay table or expected return rates whatsoever.

But in several crucial cases, switching between the standard one handed format and multi play can significantly alter your bottom line.

Take the best game on the board, which is Aces and Eights with its 99.78 percent expected return. If you change it up from standard to multi play, that extremely generous return rate drops by a full percentage point – which is huge in the gambling game – down to 98.63 percent.

Using the table above will help you make better decisions with your bankroll while frequenting the BoVegas Casino video poker section.

Scratch Card Games and Keno

While most players rightfully prefer to play games with a low house edge, every so often the time comes to gamble it up.

Risking a small amount on games like scratch cards and keno may be a longshot, but if you have discipline and discretion, the occasional “bad bet” can be quite enjoyable.

BoVegas Casino’s menu features only a single game under the scratch card category: Treasure Tree.

Under the Real Time Gaming (RTG) branding, however, Treasure Tree is actually referred to as a “pull tab” – which is a term used for scratch style lottery cards in Canada and certain regions of the US.

When playing Treasure Tree, you’ll see a game screen showing the titular tree, on which 20 different bags of money are hanging. The money bag trees come in the following color pattern:

  • 4 red
  • 5 yellow
  • 11 blue

Each money bag image conceals a predetermined prize amount or reward, which come in the form of free games or payouts based on bet multipliers.

The objective of Treasure Tree is to click on each money bag graphic, one at a time like you would when scratching a lotto card, to reveal the prize underneath. In order to claim a prize, you’ll need to match three of the same within the same color group. That setup means players can win up to three separate prizes, with one coming in each color group, should luck be on their side.

Another fun aspect of Treasure Tree concerns the free games prize, because when you earn them, those cards will offer tripled prize amounts. And free games can be re earned, so to speak, so one free card can produce 10 more, extending your run of triple pay prizes.

Unfortunately, the tightlipped policy Real Time Gaming (RTG) maintains over its return to player (RTP) percentages means I can’t tell you the odds or house edge for Treasure Tree. Let’s just assume they’re not very good, keeping in line with genuine scratch card lotto games and similar products found in other online casinos.

If you enjoy the number calling action of keno – one of those classic games of chance everybody should play at least once – BoVegas Casino has you covered.

It’s only a single offering mind you, and the rules the same as you’d find in a standard Las Vegas keno parlor, so don’t expect any additional bells and whistles. And while companies like Microgaming are designing cool new takes on keno, sometimes it’s refreshing to see an online casino spread a game in its traditional form.

The version of keno found on Real Time Gaming (RTG) software is configured for between 1 and 15 selections per card. From there, the numbers will be randomly revealed and your payouts will be awarded based on the following pay table:

Keno Pay Table

HITS 11 12 13 14 15
0% 0 0 0 2 2
100% 0 0 0 0 0
200% 0 0 0 0 0
300% 0 0 0 0 0
400% 0 0 0 0 0
500% 0 0 0 0 0
6 $10 5 2 2 0
7 100 40 22 10 2
8 500 250 85 45 30
9 2500 1200 600 350 120
10 $25,000 5000 3700 1100 300
11 100000 25000 12000 8000 2800
12 N/A 100000 50000 25000 25000
13 N/A N/A 100000 50000 50000
14 N/A N/A N/A 100000 100000
15 N/A N/A N/A 100000 100000

And while keno isn’t the most strategic game, by any stretch, using the table below will help you identify the best and worst bets on the board:

SPOTS RETURN
100% 75.00 percent
200% 84.18 percent
300% 83.25 percent
400% 84.51 percent
500% 84.10 percent
600% 81.42 percent
7 85.16 percent
8 85.41 percent
9 85.03 percent
10 86.64 percent
11 86.75 percent
12 84.31 percent
13 79.42 percent
14 85.41 percent
15 84.42 percent

As you can see, your best odds on BoVegas Casino keno come when you choose 11 spots on the card, which carries an expected return of 86.75 percent. Remember though, that equates to a house edge rate of 13.25 percent, so this is one of the worst wagers you’ll find on the site.

Progressive Jackpot Games

As far as I can tell, the vast majority of virtual slots on BoVegas Casino, along with several table games, are linked to the Real Time Gaming (RTG) progressive jackpot network.

I couch that statement for a reason, as the site’s Games menu doesn’t break down based on progressive linkage.

However, when pulling up the Slots menu, most of the games display a running jackpot amount beneath the title screen, suggesting the largest current progressive award among the Minor, Major, and Maxi categories. Conversely, a handful of virtual slots lack the jackpot display, which I interpret as a disconnect between those games and the progressive system.

The following virtual slots do not feature a jackpot total, meaning all other titles on the slot menu should be connected to the Minor, Major, and Maxi progressive jackpots:

  • Bubble Bubble
  • Enchanted Garden II
  • Eternal Love
  • Food Fight
  • Fucanglong
  • Lucha Libre
  • Lucky 6
  • Nova 7s
  • Orc vs. Elf 3 D
  • Panda Magic
  • Shark School
  • Snowmania
  • Super 6
  • Sweet 16
  • The Big Bopper
  • The Nice List
  • The Three Stooges: The Brideless Groom
  • Voodoo Magic
  • Witch’s Brew
  • 7s and Stripes

As far as table games go, the following video poker titles contain the word “Jackpot,” and thus appear to be linked to the progressive network:

  • Double Jackpot Poker
  • Double Jackpot Poker (3 Handed)
  • Double Jackpot Poker (10 Handed)
  • Double Jackpot Poker (52 Handed)
  • Double Double Jackpot Poker
  • Double Double Jackpot Poker (3 Handed)
  • Double Double Jackpot Poker (10 Handed)
  • Double Double Jackpot Poker (52 Handed)

Finally, while the section is not clickable, the BoVegas Casino homepage does feature a “Jackpots” side screen displaying winners’ names and their respective awards. By reading this list, it appears as though various table games like craps, Let It Ride, and All American Poker are connected to the Real Time Gaming (RTG) progressive jackpot network as well.

Once you’ve created an account, take some time to explore the Games menu to get a better feel on the exact nature of BoVegas Casino’s progressive selection.

BoVegas Poker

As I discussed in the earlier section on sports betting, BoVegas Casinos doesn’t dabble in supplementary sections like a poker room.

Traditionally, the Real Time Gaming (RTG) software suite has been devoted to casino offerings – table games like baccarat, blackjack, and roulette, along with virtual slot machines and video poker. This narrow focus has served that company quite well, and while other software providers like 888 and bWin/Party dominate the online poker industry, Real Time Gaming (RTG) has become synonymous with casino play.

BoVegas Casino seems to be wholly reliant on Real Time Gaming (RTG) software to run its gaming engine, so it’s no surprise to see that an online poke room wasn’t in the cards.

BoVegas Bingo

The Real Time Gaming (RTG) software suite includes two bingo titles – Bonus Bingo and Roaring Twenties Bingo – but BoVegas has chosen to import only the latter.

Based on a lively theme of the 1920s dance hall, Roaring Twenties Bingo is a raucous take on the classic lottery style numbers game. You can bet on a single card, several cards, or up to 100 at once, creating a multifaceted gameplay experience. The betting ranges from just $0.01 to $5.00 per card, so players of all budgets can get in on the action.

The whole concept behind Roaring Twenties Bingo is based on the addition of cool new features, such as the Wild Ball and Extra Ball.

The Wild Ball feature activates the center square, also known as the “Free Space” in traditional bingo, on each card in play.

The Extra Balls feature adds five more balls to the hopper, at the cost of doubling your bet, so your chances of forming connected combinations increases.

Roaring Twenties Bingo is also tied to the Real Time Gaming (RTG) progressive jackpot network. If you can complete a full card by marking off all 25 spaces, you’ll earn one of the Minor, Major, or Maxi progressive jackpot awards.

The most convenient way to get in touch with the BoVegas Casino customer support staff is the Live Chat function. Located in the upper right hand corner of the main lobby screen, the Live Chat button is shaped like a text bubble. One click and you’ll be taken straight to the following page, which connects you directly to a customer support specialist.

Another way to resolve your issue is to call the site’s support team directly, by using one of the following three phone numbers depending on your location. And finally, you can always send an email to the following addresses, which is especially useful if you’d prefer to keep the proverbial “paper trail” in order:

Envelope
PHONE (US): 1-888-426-3661
PHONE (UK): 1-888-426-3661
PHONE (France): 1-888-426-3661
LIVE CHAT

We’ve mentioned this a few times already, but BoVegas Casino is basically still a baby. With only a few months or so of live operation, the site is working out the bugs and growing into its skin as we speak.

That means definitive conclusions can’t be made just yet, so we’ll keep this summary short.

From what we’ve seen, this is your stock RTG powered online casino under a new name. All of the favorites can be found, along with a few hybrid table games and cult classics, but the Games menu is still in its infancy when compared to major competitors.

In terms of versatility, you can’t really go wrong with three ways to access the site, so take your pick between the software download, Flash based browser, or mobile versions.

And while I’m slightly concerned about the company’s choice to use a Curaçao issue online gambling license, that’s not necessarily a killer in my book.

Overall, the jury is still out on this site, but BoVegas Casino deserves every chance to prove itself as a viable member of the industry.

Our Verdict

BoVegas Casino is still quite new, so it represents a mystery of sorts, but if you enjoy the Real Time Gaming (RTG) online casino experience, this US facing platform is essentially a clone of the existing model.

Is the mobile version of BoVegas Casino identical to the desktop/laptop version?

Not necessarily identical, but close enough to replicate the experience.

All of the essentials are there, from blackjack and baccarat to slots and video poker, so the gameplay is largely the same. You’ll be lacking in the details though, so multiple versions of the same game using different rules and configurations don’t make the cut.

Mobile casino gaming will always be a pale imitation of the desktop / laptop / tablet experience, thanks to the cutting edge software produced by companies like Real Time Gaming (RTG). But in the case of BoVegas anyway, mobile users should be able to satisfy their craving for action for a few minutes at a time.

Has BoVegas Casino ever been in trouble for ripping off a customer?

Not yet. That’s far from a ringing endorsement, but I’m just keeping it real (as the kids might say).

When it comes to offshore online casinos and gambling operations that choose to serve American players, there’s just no telling what might happen. Sites like Lock Poker and 21 Dukes Casino invariably crop up, pledging to do right by their player base and conduct their business with integrity, only to close up shop and abscond with every last cent owed.

But while hundreds of US facing online casinos are capable of running things the right way, a few bad apples will always emerge to spoil the party.

With less than two months of operation under its belt, BoVegas Casino has yet to be flagged by concerned players on the usual forums. That’s an encouraging sign, and I’m glad to note it, but I also reserve judgement until a significant sample size has been generated. A few weeks of taking bets is only the beginning, and even the worst offenders keep the ship on track for the first phase, so like I said already, there’s no telling how BoVegas Casino will proceed.

But to answer your question as it was posed, no, BoVegas Casino has no recorded blemishes on its reputation to date.

How can BoVegas Casino serve the American market?

Technically speaking, they can’t.

The terms of the UIGEA are still in effect on the federal level, barring businesses from conducting any financial transactions related to online wagering. That’s why well established online casinos like Betfair, Bet365, and William Hill still choose to restrict access by American players.

But the online gambling industry has always been akin to the wild west in a way, with a collection of “rogue” operators deciding to flout the law – one that was slipped into a defense bill without sufficient debate. Even the famed PokerStars elected to challenge the UIGEA by remaining in the US marketplace, until the Department of Justice seized their domain name in 2011, as part of online poker’s aptly named “Black Friday.”

Other platforms like Bovada and Americas Card Room (ACR) have stepped in to fill the void, offering American players a safe and reliable outlet for their online gambling needs. These sites are, as I mentioned, technically in violation of federal law – but the current political climate in the US suggests that online gambling may soon be legalized. So far, three states (Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware) have solved their own problem by passing legislation to regulate statewide online gambling industries of their own.

Considering the ongoing debate, and the relative lack of UIGEA enforcement on all but the biggest operators, small boutique sites like BoVegas Casino are essentially in the clear. Sure, at some point they could be shut down by intrusive federal authorities, but in the last few years such cases have been extremely rare.

It’s actually rather fitting in a way. These online casinos require players to gamble, on house friendly games to boot, so why shouldn’t the operators put something on the line as well?

That’s precisely what US facing online casinos are doing, so as a player, try to remain mindful that those risks are transferred to your player account and funds as well. I feel comfortable saying a site as small as this won’t be targeted for closure anytime soon, but whenever US facing platforms are concerned, discretion and due diligence are always called for.

So are any countries restricted from playing at BoVegas Casino?

Of course, as the murky world of online casino licensing combined with unique legal systems around the world make for the inevitable mismatch.

In the case of BoVegas Casino, the following countries are considered to be “restricted,” meaning players located there are unable to access the site:

  • Belarus
  • Costa Rica
  • Israel
  • Ukraine

These four nations are identified explicitly by the site’s Terms and Conditions page, but it’s likely that others are restricted as well. For example, most Muslim majority countries, such as Iran and Egypt, tend to prohibit gambling of any sort – online or otherwise.

But for all intents and purposes, the four seemingly unconnected countries listed above are the only clear cut rejections for BoVegas Casino on the world map.

How long do BoVegas Casino withdrawals stay in their “pending period?”

Quite a while, unfortunately. One of the major weaknesses found on BoVegas Casino during its short run concerns the lengthy delays faced by players attempting to withdraw their winnings.

In the case of the dreaded “pending period” – which freezes withdrawals for set amount of time before the site’s stated waiting time kicks in – BoVegas Casino uses an awful 96 hour window. That means you’ll be forced to wait four full days after initiating a cash out for those funds to even begin processing.

Just think… in that time, you could set up a new account at a competing online casino, run up your first deposit, cash out some winnings, and receive a payment – all during the BoVegas Casino pending period.

When the industry standard for such a wait is between 24 and 48 hours, doubling the longest pending period out there simply seems like a poor operational strategy. Industry insiders have pointed to the site’s US facing nature as the justification for delayed banking procedures, but we play on plenty of American friendly platforms that use the usual 1 to 2 day pending period.

BoVegas Casino has no excuses on this front, and here’s hoping they get their act together sometime soon.

I would stay as far away from this casino as you can. There are many, many other casinos out there with a much better track record and far better terms. I really don't know where to start, I’ve played at dozens of online casinos, maybe a hundred or more, except for one which absolutely refused to pay me Bo Vegas is by far the worst. Like many I was greedy, attracted by the great sounding bonuses. However the terms are terrible, 30x deposit + bonus is the play-thru requirement, bonus is never cashable no matter how much you win or play , very confusing and time consuming sign-up process, terrible odds, it appears they are able to set odds and free games hit frequency to their own liking which I did not know was possible with RTG, if you get really, really lucky and win a little you must meet very onerous docs requirements BEFORE they even let you enter a withdrawal request. You need COLOR photos of credit card, license, utility bill AND a photo of your face with license held up next to face. All this takes several days to complete and get approved, and the cashiers don't work weekends/holidays so it may be up to a week just for docs approval. Then they let you enter a withdrawal request and the 7-business day approval period starts then, so it could be 15 or more days before you get paid, IF you get paid at all. I say IF because I'm waiting 2 weeks now for a payout and all I get is "be patient". It may just be growing pains, or it may be a total scam, don't risk it for a few extra bonus bucks, go with a tried and true casino with a good track record and no iffy reviews like mine and the others on this site. Oh, one last thing, you can only have one pending withdrawal at a time. So, if like me, you have been waiting a while for them to process a withdrawal for days or weeks, and want to play at the casino again, they will not let you make a new deposit unless you cancel the existing withdrawal first, which means of course that your waiting period begins all over again. The more I recap their procedures and “techniques” in my head, the more I believe this is one big scam and I will not get paid at all. I do promise this, if I do get paid I will come back here with an update. However, that will not change my overall opinion of the casino or my recommendation that you go elsewhere.

Player BEWARE, this casino does not pay out. They will make it very difficult for you to withdrawal, if you like your money sitting in your account for months with no updates on withdrawal then definitely play here. I've been trying to withdraw for the last two months and haven't had any success. This casino is a scam, please take all the other comments into consideration prior to playing at this casino, they rip you off and on top of that have poor customer service. The Finance department is complete garbage it's like they hired non-educated people to run their finance department, no wonder why their finances are all out of wack, they hire a bunch of morons to handle their money. Jenny Johnson, what a joke.

Beware of BOVEGAS CASINO this site is a fraud, I won $4300 and to this point I have been paid $350, my first withdrawal of $2000 was reduced to $350, My second withdrawal was denied (see email below) because I have not placed any bets in the past 30 days. Anything else? If you can't or will not pay your advertised winning commitments, which is very basic for a legitimate casino, please just tell me and stop wasting my time. Your site says a max withdrawal of $2000 per request which I made on May 11th, to this point you have paid $325. Personally I don't think you have any intention of paying your obligation, but at least have the decency to admit you don't have the ability to pay your obligation.

I highly recommend players to avoid BoVegas at all costs. As far a being a rip-off they are. I got beat for $2,000 by BoVegas; while I kept on questioning the legitimacy after waiting a month for my $2,000. They then suspended my account for non-legitimate reasons. I questioned their Finance and Customer Service Department in reference to the suspension and they said it was because I "threatened" them by saying I was going to a third party to assist me in recovering my money. As far as I see it, that is not a threat. It is an option when a customer is not being serviced properly. I will continue my pursuit in getting them shut down in the U.S. since I know they are now a rip-off.

Hey Eric, I`m sorry for the situation that happened to you. However, the part of your emails that says "I'm gonna have your bullshit casino shutdown here in the US for fraud I have filed a complaint against your company for deceptive practices." is an obvious threat. As for the payout. In our terms, we state that: “Casino reserves the right to send the winnings in installments. Player class influences installment amount as well as time frames of processing a withdrawal request. Player class is mainly determined by depositing/gaming activity of the player.” We have sent you an installment of $350. We would be glad to send you more if you`d just made another request. However, you desided to call our employess names and threat us. Usually, according to our security procedures, in this case we close an account and refund a player. Taking into consideration that your first installment equaled your total deposit amount, your account was just closed. All our actions were made in accordance with the BoVegas terms and conditions that are stated onve here - http://bovegas.com/en/tc/ You have accepted them once you`ve opened an account with us. i don't recommend! Something very shady is going on with their customer service. I got the same person every time I tried to call that evaded my questions about where they are located and how th bonus deposits work and more. I was sent an email claimng to be "Mary," but conveniently the only person available was again Simon. He put me on hold several times to ask someone how to answer my questions and then told me he is based on an island called "Curasol" in the Caribbean even though he had previously said he was in New York on another call and called from a New York number. I called AmEx to discuss this and possible fraud alert since I had given them my card info and address and found out they are actually in China. The software is not fair or random. At first glance it seemed to be, but then it started "shorting" out depending on my bet to make the dealer win when playing Blackjack. I am the one that fell for it, but I do not recommend this site for the reasons stated above. They are not forthcoming with any real information, and the gaming software is in no way fair or random. It will seem like it is until you near your playthrough amount, and then it is completely rigged.

Well if I could open the Casino and register I would . Sadly for many weeks I have tried without success to my annoyance . There is no problem with other casino's loading so I do not see what the problem is . If anyone has a miracle cure out there I would appreciate it .Until I can load and play I could not say if the Casino was good bad or great.
