Café Casino is a new online casino launched in 2016 aimed at United States players who prefer to use Bitcoin to make deposits. The property is associated with some of the following Internet casinos: Bovada, Slots.lv, and Ignition Casino. Their brand focuses on slot machines and the casino experience. Casino gamblers at Café Casino need not worry about being distracted by poker or sports betting options. They have an excellent variety of bonuses and promotions available for new and existing players.
It doesn’t take long for the observant gambler to realize that Café Casino is focused on traditional casino games and gaming. Like many modern online casinos, they use multiple software packages to power these games, including Genesis Gaming, Realtime Gaming, and Rival.
They list their available games in the following categories:
Café Casino offers most traditional casino games, but where the site really shines is in its selection of slots games. They make 152 slot machine games available from at least 3 different design companies, including Genesis Gaming, Realtime Gaming, and Rival Gaming.
You’ll also find slot machine games from every category imaginable. We include a complete list of available games below in alphabetical order, but we also include some highlights from the various categories available, too.
All of their slot machine games can be played for a minimum bet of a penny per spin, but the maximum bet per game varies. Most of them are in the $100 to $150 per spin range.
Some of the more entertaining games in their selection are the I-Slots from Rival Gaming. These are attractive and feature-rich multi-line slots with lots of pay lines. What really makes these games stand out are the storylines, which sometimes involve multiple games. A good example of these I-Slots is As the Reels Turn, which is a soap opera themed game with 3 chapters. (It’s like a trilogy.)
Café Casino also offers 18 different slots with progressive jackpots, so if you’re looking for a big score, you have plenty to choose from. Aztec’s Treasure, Birds of Fury, and Cash Money Mermaids are 3 of the more attractive progressive jackpot slots available.
Most of their slots games have 5 reels and at least 15 paylines, although you will find games with fewer paylines if you look. They even have games which pay 243 ways, which eliminates the idea of paylines entirely in favor of getting any combination of winning symbols on the screen from right to left, regardless of whether or not those symbols are on a pay line.
One of my favorite things about the way Café Casino does business is the transparency with which they operate their blackjack games. Not all online casinos provide the amount of detail about their blackjack games that Café Casino does. They did still leave out some information, though—for example, it’s not clear whether or not you can double after splitting. Also, they don’t treat a 21 after splitting as a blackjack, which is an unusual rule (and a bad one for players).
Café Casino offers the following 6 blackjack games:
This is the standard blackjack game at Café Casino. It’s played with 6 decks, the dealer hits on soft 17, you’re allowed to split up to 3 hands, and you can surrender on any 2 first cards. Split aces only get one card, and you’re not allowed to re-split aces. Also, split aces which get a 10 does not count as a blackjack. The game is available with a $1 minimum bet and a $500 maximum bet.
The casino claims that this version offers a better return than the standard version. In this version, the dealer stands on soft 17, but surrender isn’t an option. Split aces can only receive one additional card, and you’re not allowed to re-split aces at all. Also, they don’t consider a 21 after splitting to be a blackjack—it’s just considered a total of 21 and pays out at even odds. Low rollers might not like this version as well as the 6 deck game, as the minimum bet here is $10 instead of $1. The maximum bet is still $500 per hand.
In Café Casino’s version of “European Blackjack”, the dealer stands on a soft 17, and you’re only allowed to double down on a total of 9, 10, or 11. You can split up to 3 hands, but surrender isn’t an option at all. Split aces can only take one more card, and aces cannot be re-split. They have the same dumb rule about naturals after splitting not getting paid 3 to 2.
One major difference between the American version and the European version involves when the dealer gets his second card. The player makes all of her moves before the dealer even deals his 2ndcard. The minimum bet is $1, and the maximum bet is $500.
Perfect Pairs plays just like regular blackjack but offers an option side bet with up to a 25 to 1 payout. The side bet has a high house edge; I recommend never trying it. You can read more about Perfect Pairs and other side bets here.
At Café Casino, the game is played using 6 decks, and the dealer hits on soft 17. You can split up to 3 hands, and you can surrender on any 2 first cards. If you split aces, you’re only allowed to take one more card. You’re also not allowed to re-split aces. They don’t consider blackjacks dealt after splitting as a 3 to 2 payout—it only pays out at even odds. You can bet as little as $1 per hand and as much as $500 per hand.
According to their site, Café Casino’s single deck blackjack offers the best theoretical return of any of their games. It’s played with just one deck, but the deck is re-shuffled after every hand. (This is true of all their blackjack games, but that’s standard with any online casino, realy.)
The dealer hits a soft 17, and insurance pays 2 to 1. Surrender isn’t an option. As with their other games, blackjacks after splitting only count as a total of 21—there’s no bonus payout. Single Deck Blackjack might offer the lowest house edge, but it still might not be the best game for low rollers—the minimum bet is $25 per hand. The maximum bet is $300 per hand.
The gimmick in Zappit Blackjack is that you get an additional option if you’re dealt a total of 15, 16, or 17. You’re allowed to throw your cards away and get new cards. The dealer hits on a soft 17, and you’re allowed to split up to 3 hands. You’re only allowed one additional card after splitting, and you’re only allowed to split aces once. Blackjacks after splitting pay out eve money. The minimum bet is $1, and the maximum bet is $500.
You’ll find the following 10 games available in the “Table Games” section of the casino:
Baccarat is a standard at high roller casinos throughout the world, and anyone who has watched an older James Bond film has seen a game of baccarat in action. It’s basically a guessing game in which you guess whether or not the dealer or the player will get closer to a final hand total of 9. The house edge is relatively low, and there’s no way to get an edge or affect the odds via making intelligent playing decisions.
This is a house-banked version of Texas hold’em with a progressive jackpot. At Café Casino, the progressive jackpot is shared between all their “Caribbean” card games, which include Caribbean Stud and Caribbean Draw. The progressive jackpot in Caribbean Hold’em gets paid when a player gets a royal flush. The minimum bet is $1 and the maximum bet is $500.
Caribbean Stud Poker is a house-banked version of stud poker—you play against the casino, not versus the other players. You place an ante bet, and if you think your hand is strong enough, you can double that bet. You get paid if your hand wins according to the strength of your hand. The game also has a progressive jackpot which is tied into the progressive jackpot on the other “Caribbean” poker games.
Craps is a perennial favorite in American casinos. It’s the game where players roll 2 dice and hope to get a target number before “crapping out”. The big consideration when choosing craps at an online casino is how high of an “odds bet” you can place when taking odds. At Café Casino, you can bet up to 4X your original bet when taking odds, which is good, but not great.
If you stick with the simpler bets on the table (pass/no pass) and take odds, you face one of the lowest house edge games in the casino.
The main difference between European Roulette and American Roulette is the number of 0s on the wheel. In the American game, you face 2 zeros, but in the European game, you only face one. This change alone almost cuts the house edge in half. You should never play the American Roulette game if a European version is available. You’re just giving away your money for no good reason.
You can bet as little as $1 or as much as $100 on any particular bet. You can have a maximum of $500 in action on your inside bets and the same on your outside bets. This sounds confusing, but it just means that if you bet $100 on even/odd and also black/red, you have $200 in action.
The house edge for European Roulette is 2.7%.
Like the Caribbean poker titles, Let’Em Ride is a house-banked version of poker. In other words, you play against the house instead of versus the other players. You start by placing 3 bets, but if you don’t like how your hand is playing out, you can pull some of those bets back.
The optional progressive side bet is only $1. Progressive jackpots are always a long shot, but $1 isn’t much in the grand scheme of things. Compare it with the size of the jackpot when deciding whether or not to opt for it.
Pai Gow Poker combines the hand setting strategies of traditional Pai Gow, a Chinese tile game, with the action of poker and poker hand rankings. You’re dealt 7 cards, and you organize them into 2 hands—one of 5 cards and one of 2 cards. Unlike the Caribbean poker games, you don’t get paid out on a payout table. Instead, you get paid if you beat the dealer. You get even money less a 5% commission on each winning hand.
Pai Gow Poker uses a joker, which is a wild card, and the highest ranked hand is five of a kind. The other hands use standard hand rankings to determine who has the winning hand.
Under no circumstances should you play American Roulette here. The house edge is 5.26%, which is almost twice as high as the house edge on the European Roulette game. I’m not sure why casinos continue to offer both versions of the game, although it probably has to do with a willingness to take advantage of people who don’t understand the math behind the game. The reason for the difference in house edge is because of the number of 0s on the wheel. In American Roulette, you face two 0s, while in European Roulette, you only face one.
This is also a house-banked poker game, just like Pai Gow Poker, Let’Em Ride, and the Caribbea Poker games. But in Tri Card poker, you only have a 3 card hand, and you have 3 betting options:
One fun aspect of Tri Card Poker is that you don’t have to place the same size bet for each option. You can use 3 different bet sizes.
Three Card Rummy is fun because it’s NOT a poker based game, which is a refreshing twist in the casino for a non-blackjack game. Your goal is to have a lower hand than the dealer, which is also a fun twist.
You win your ante bet if your 3 card point total is less than the dealer’s and the dealer’s hand doesn’t qualify. The dealer’s hand qualifies by getting 21 points or more.
You win your raise bet if your 3 card point total is less than the dealer’s AND the dealer’s hand qualifies.
You win a bonus bet if you’re dealt a hand with a point total of 12 or less. The payouts vary based on your score, too.
It’s a fun game and worth trying, especially if you’re looking for something different.
Café Casino offers an extensive selection of video poker games, including the following 11 games:
This is just Deuces Wild video poker with a bonus payout for certain hand combinations.
Bonus Poker is just Jacks or Better with bonus payouts for certain 4 of a kind combinations.
Bonus Poker Deluxe is the same thing as Bonus Poker, but with additional bonuses for additional 4 of a kind combinations.
Deuces Wild is probably the 2nd most popular variation of video poker in the world. As the name suggests, 2s are wild cards, which dramatically changes the pay table and the strategy for the game. The first rule for strategy in this video poker variation is to never discard a 2.
Another variation of Bonus Poker.
Still another variation of Bonus Poker.
This is another variation of Bonus Poker, with even more potential jackpots available based on your final hand combinations.
And this is the advanced version of Double Jackpot.
Jacks or Better is the plain vanilla version of video poker that most people learn on. The goal is, as the name suggests, to get a hand with a pair of jacks or better. They do offer a 9/6 pay table, which means that the house edge, when played with perfect strategy, is only 0.46%. This is an exceptional value for online video poker.
This game is similar to Jacks or Better, only it features a joker as a wild card. Since there are fewer wild cards in this game, it can be seen as being somewhat similar to both Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild.
Loose Deuces is a variation of Deuces Wild with a generous pay table.
Some of the video poker games are available for as little as a penny per hand, but keep in mind that you’ll want to place a 5 unit bet in order to activate the top jackpot for each game. So realistically you’ll be playing for at least a nickel per hand. Some of the games have a minimum bet size of a nickel, too, so on those games, you’re looking at a minimum bet of 25 cents per hand.
High stakes players will be happy to see that they have a maximum bet on most video poker games of $25, which means you’re able to get $125 into action on each hand.
Café Casino lists the following games in their “Specialty” category:
Most of the specialty games are what I consider “number-based” games. They all act similarly to lottery based games, like keno. You’re counting on getting certain combinations of numbers in order to receive a payout.
Many of these games are also just fancy Internet based scratch-off tickets.
Frankly, the house edge on almost all of these games is pretty high. You’re probably better off sticking to the slot machines, although video poker and blackjack are the best bets of all.
Café Casino is licensed by the Kahnwake Gaming Commission, which is a tribal gaming authority in Canada. In terms of how their license compares to others, well… there’s not great news to report. Kahnawake is considered one of the most hands-off gaming authorities in the business, which is not good news for players.
But as a friend of mine often points out, no licensing authority is as gung ho about protecting players’ rights as the better watchdog sites on the Internet. Reputation is far more important than where a site has its license. And given the reputations of the sites associated with Betting Partners in the past (Bodog, Bovada, Slots.lv, and Ignition Casino), I think this is a safe place to play. Being licensed by the Kahnwake Gaming Commission isn’t a big plus, but it’s not a big minus, either.
Café Casino’s target market clearly consists of United States based casino gamblers who want to use Bitcoin as a deposit method. It’s unlikely that much of their customer base cares about poker or sports betting, as they provide neither option. But some gamblers do have accounts at multiple sites, so the casual sports bettor or poker player who loves slot machines will probably feel right at home here.
Since they offer such a wide variety of casino games, Café Casino is one of the best options I’ve seen for United States real money players. Let’s face it. Players who fit that description don’t have a lot of options, and the options they do have are often sub-standard.
Opening a new account is easy. You input your name, address, phone number, email address, and some security information (mother’s maiden name and city of birth). Once you’ve opened an account, you can move on to deposit funds.
The following deposit methods are available:
Players in the United States (and indeed, even in other countries), might or might not have trouble getting their deposit to go through on any of those credit cards. Gambling transactions are riskier and more costly for credit card companies, so they often decline them just as a matter of policy.
Bitcoin, on the other hand, is safe and secure, and you’ll have no trouble making a deposit using that method. In fact, one of the biggest selling points of the casino is their readiness and willingness to accept deposits via Bitcoin. It’s a neat way to get money to and from a casino, and it’s not available at most online casinos. (It is becoming more popular and accepted, though.)
You can make deposits in any of the following amounts: $25, $50, $100, $200, $300, $400, $500, $1000.
Café Casino boasts of some of the best turnaround times in the business for withdrawals. If you’re using Bitcoin, you can get your winnings within 24 hours or less. Otherwise, payouts take between 4 and 10 working days, which is pretty standard in the online casino industry.
New depositing players at Café Casino have 2 welcome bonuses to choose from:
The Super Play Welcome Bonus is good for a 500% matching bonus on your first deposit of up to $1000. That means when you make your first deposit of $1000, you get $5000 in extra money to play with. So your total bankroll will be $6000.
The bonus code to use for this offer is CAFE500. The maximum cashout you can receive when using this bonus is 10X the amount of your deposit, and the playthrough is 35X. That means you’ll be able to cash out a maximum of $10,000 when taking advantage of this offer, and you have to make $210,000 in wagers before being eligible to cash out.
When I first read the name of this promotion, I thought it meant that there was no max to the signup bonus, but I was wrong. The “no max” means that there’s no maximum cashout, which is a significant difference from the first bonus offer.
This bonus is good for a 100% matching deposit bonus on your first deposit of $1000. So you deposit $1000 and get $1000 in bonus money, for a total bankroll of $2000. The playthrough requirements for this offer are more reasonable at 25X, which means you only have to place $50,000 in wagers before being able to cash out.
The Bonus Code to use for this offer is CAFE100.
I recommend going with this 2nd bonus offer. It doesn’t sound like as much money, but the no max and lower wagering requirements make it the better deal.
Café Casino also has a $10 free chip available to new players who’ve never made a deposit. You can get into action and possibly win money without even making an initial deposit.
The bonus code to use for the free $10 chip is CAFE10.
This particular offer has a 60X playthrough requirement, which means you have to place $600 in wagers before being eligible to cash out any winnings. You’re also limited to a $125 maximum amount of winnings.
It sounds like it would be impossible to win any money with such stringent playthrough requirements and with such a low maximum, but consider this. I was playing at a casino once and hit a $4000 jackpot on one of my first 3 spins. Once you’ve done that, getting your $600 wagering requirement in and having at least $125 in winnings left over is a piece of cake.
Things like that don’t happen often, but they do happen. Otherwise, no one would play casino games for real money at all.
If you refer a friend to the casino, you’re eligible for a $100 bonus. You’re required to deposit $25, and the player you refer also has to deposit $25. This bonus offer has a 60X playthrough requirement, so you have to wager $6000 before being able to cash out. It’s a nice perk if you know other gamblers and want to get some extra money to play with.
The promotions available at Café Casino don’t stop with new player offers. For example, if you have a losing day, you’re eligible for 10% cash back on your wagers. They also have weekly deposit bonuses on any new deposits you make as an existing customer.
They also have a rewards system where you can earn points based on your play. Once you’ve achieved enough points (50,000), you’re eligible to get 15% cash back instead of 10%. You also get bigger bonuses and subsequent deposits.
And all players are eligible to win extra money through the site’s weekly prize drawings, and players who have hit that 2nd tier points-wise get a free chip to celebrate with on their birthday.
All casinos have playthrough requirements. This is a multiple applied to your deposit plus bonus to determine how much you have to wager before you can cash out any winnings. These wagering requirements (aka playthrough requirements) protect the casino from advantage players.
All casinos encourage players to achieve their wagering requirements by playing their slot machine games. These games are almost impossible to manipulate by even the most skilled advantage player. At Café Casino, all wagers on slot machine games, scratch card games, keno games, and any other specialty games count fully toward achieving your wagering requirements.
Most casinos disallow wagers from most other games entirely, but all games count toward your wagering requirements at Café Casino. They just discount the play from games with a low house edge or from games with a lot of even money bets.
Some games count 20% toward your requirements, some at 10%, and some at 5%, as per the following:
Here’s an example of how that works:
You’re a dedicated blackjack player. You deposit $1000 and take advantage of the 100% no max bonus of $1000, so you have $2000. You’re required to place $50,000 in wagers before cashing out. But since you’re playing single deck blackjack, each dollar you wager only counts as a nickel. (5% of $1). So you really have to wager $1,000,000 before being able to cash out any winnings.
Let’s assume that you’re a perfect basic strategy player, and the house edge is 0.5%. That means the expected loss on $1,000,000 in wagers is $5000. Unless you get very lucky indeed, you have almost no chance of walking away a winner.
In fact, you’d probably be better off placing the bulk of your wagers on the slot machine games and just using the other games as breaks from the monotony.

As a relatively new casino, they don’t have much history to go on. The site launched in early April of 2016, so there hasn’t been much time for customer complaints to show up on the Internet.
But given the other casino brands associated with this company, the likelihood of serious customer service problems is as low as you can expect of any online casino company. Since the same company behind Bovada and Slots.lv handles some of the business dealings for Café Casino, you can expect similar customer service experiences.
And I know of almost no one who has a legitimate complaint with any of the associated casinos.
Playing at any online casino involves risk, but I’m confident that Café Casino is as trustworthy and reputable as any other Internet casino—more so, in fact.
Café Casino earns high marks for its singular focus on the needs of the dedicated Internet casino gambler. They offer great signup bonuses with reasonable wagering requirements. They also offer a wide variety of games from multiple software providers.
Café Casino is probably not a great fit for someone looking for an all-in-one gambling site. They don’t offer player versus player poker or sports betting games. But dedicated slot machine players or aficionados of other casino games will probably love this property. Bitcoin users will also find friendly conditions here.
Have never had a problem with this site, have cashed out several times...just do not like the 72 hour wait. sadly it takes 72 hours for them to take the money out of your acct. They have great bonuses and do pay after the 72 hrs.
I've played a few times on CafeCasino. I find it to be the most transparent website where I can see my transactions history and even identify every credit card charge by the transaction code. Believe me, many other similar websites do not have this option available. It is important because after depositing $25 on another online casino website, my credit card was charged 3 times and I had to file a dispute with my CC. But I never had ANY problem with CafeCasino. After depositing $50 and getting 300% match, I've played for a while and won $370. What I did not know back then, it is that they charge $75 for the withdrawal which is too much, in my opinion. So the first time I've requested to withdraw all $370, my request was denied due to insufficient funds. I've immediately dropped my request to $295 (leaving $75 to them) and in 3 days I've got my check delivered via FedEx. They did not ask me for my passport, name of my pet or blood sample like many other online casino require. CafeCasino simply sent me a check on my name and address I've provided during the registration. So, for myself, I found that it is the only website that I can trust for now. Good luck to everyone!
have you considered live dealers on your table games?
Beware of Cafe Casino, they are extremely deceptive and just be prepared to have them cheat you out of your winnings. I will never play on this site again and if you're smart you won't either.
Cafe Casino is so far a terrible site, the games I played (mainly roulette) may not have been rigged, but were getting absolutely insane odds in the worst way possible. I've seen 3 0's on the review board (12 ish number history) at least 4 times, 2 of them having 2 in a row. When betting odds or evens, expect streaks of up to 9, THAT'S RIGHT NINE, of the opposite to appear. This has happened multiple times. Not only that, but on bonuses, if you lose any more than your bonus, it comes straight out of your cash that you used. That is to say, if you have 300 (250 being bonus) and for some reason you lose 50, you will have $0 REAL MONEY with NO way to use the bonus to get any more. That's right, it's a completely rigged system. Also, if you win with that money, it doesn't go into your real money, it mostly adds to the bonus that again, you can't use to get real money. That means that if you lose that percentage at any point in time you are completely out of withdrawable money. Some of the crazy "coincidences" (just to name a couple) 9 COLORS in a row = (roughly) .09% chance, this happened SEVERAL times ONLY when playing the opposite color. Similar when playing evens, odds, and halves. 3 of a NUMBER in a row = 1 in 50,653 chance OR 0.002%, ONLY happened when playing something that did not win anything from this. I just want to make sure people don't waste their money like I did today. Find another site to win on.
Cafe Casino does not run like Bovada. I tried to cash out the amount shown as withdrawable and they said that amount is not right. They said I need to play it out which is fine but it was impossible because the rollover never moved until I complained about it. It moves way slower than Bovada so you will lose before you even get a 1/4 of the rollover done. On Bovada , the amount shown as withdrawable is the amount withdrawable which is the way it should be or else how would you know what you could withdraw? I also found that the slots are not by chance because they know the amount you win on a bonus before you even play the bonus game . Right before you play it, the amount as cash changes so you know what you are going to win. Thats very illegit!
