RealBet Review

You’ll want to stick around for this review. Seriously, read it. If anything for this one reason:

They launched in 2015. They’re a brand new site.

New companies – gambling or otherwise – often don’t have their stuff together. There’s all sorts of growing pains, customer support issues, and other things that come up in the first few months – even years – of business.

Is that a problem for RealBet? That’s what we wanted to figure out.

So let’s go ahead and jump into this review. While we aim to answer important questions like the one posed above, we also want to give you the rundown of the basics; what promos they have, what sports bets you can make, casino games you can play, and more. That way you can decide whether you want to give RealBet a shot or not.

You have two options at RealBet – sports betting and casino games. Let’s start by talking about their sports betting section.

The Sportsbook

They have a decent selection of sports and markets to bet on. Here’s a list of what they had the last time we reviewed their site.

  • Baseball – This includes the All Star Game, 1st 5 Innings, Early Action Props and futures.
  • Basketball – Bet on Draft Props, the NCAA Championship, 1st half, 1st quarter, 2nd half, the WNBA and NCAA games.
  • Hockey – Bet on each period, futures and the World Cup futures.
  • Golf – Bet on the US Open, FedEx Cup and props.
  • Tennis – Bet on men and women’s matches.
  • Football – Bet on the Heisman Trophy winner, futures, 1-4th quarters, regular season wins, arena and CFL leagues, and NCAA football games.
  • Soccer – Bet on Euro 2016, English Premier, props and live scores.
  • NASCAR – Bet on Sprint Cup.
  • MMA – Bet on Holm vs Rousey, UFC 89 and 200.
  • Boxing
  • Horses
  • Olympics

They offer live betting, too. You’ll find it under the “live scores” tab.

Betting limits vary quite a bit based on the sport, market and type of bets you want to make. The max appears to be $1,000 across the board. .

What’s interesting about some of their options – like the UEFA Euro 2016 $10 Free Bet – is they let you know there’s a bonus offer before you even click through. If you weren’t interested before, you might be now since there’s a carrot dangling in your face.

And while they don’t have a mobile app, they do have a mobile website that’s compatible with Android, Apple and Blackberry. No app needed – just visit their site using your phone or tablet.

The Casino

At first glance I knew they worked with BetSoft – a software company known for their 3D games. But they also use their own proprietary software, too, from AceGaming.

They offer all the normal options: blackjack, table games, 3D slots, slots, video poker, keno. Here’s a list of all the specific games you can play:

Blackjack

All these come from BetSoft.

  • Single Deck Blackjack
  • Super 7 Blackjack
  • American Blackjack
  • European VIP Blackjack

This is one of the smallest blackjack selections I’ve seen from a casino. Most online casinos have anywhere from 7-10 blackjack games, more if you play at a European or UK-based casino.

Video Poker

All of these come from BetSoft, too:

  • All American – multi-hand
  • All American – progressive
  • Bonus Poker
  • Bonus Poker Deluxe – multi-hand
  • Bonus Poker – multi-hand
  • Deuces and Joker Poker – multi-hand
  • Deuces Wild
  • Deuces Wild – multi-hand
  • Double Bonus
  • Double Bonus – multi-hand
  • Double Jackpot
  • Double Joker Poker
  • Draw Five Poker
  • Jacks or Better
  • Joker Poker
  • Joker Poker – multi-hand
  • Split Way Royal
  • Tens or Better
  • Pyramid Poker – Jacks or Better

This is a solid video poker selection. On par with most other online casinos, at least.

Other Games

RealBet is also home to 17 table games games, all from BetSoft:

  • Baccarat
  • Casino War
  • Caribbean Stud Poker
  • Let it Ride
  • Red Dog
  • Roulette
  • Craps
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • Pontoon
  • Three Card Poker
  • Spanish 21
  • Oasis Poker
  • Draw Hi-Lo
  • Predictor
  • Poker 3
  • 21 Burn Blackjack

This is a good selection compared to other (US) online casinos.

Slots

This list below is of all their regular slot titles. Most, if not all of these come from their AceGaming software:

  • Aces High
  • Banana Beach
  • Bar Room Blast
  • Black Magic
  • Carnival Wheel
  • Charmed Reels
  • Cleopatra Bonus
  • Conspiracy Slot
  • Coral Cash
  • Crazy Coconuts
  • Cross Country Reels
  • Deal or Steal
  • Fast Lane
  • Final Table
  • Freak Show
  • Free Spin Saloon
  • Fruit Fuzion
  • Headline Slots
  • Heaven Cent
  • Kings Castle
  • Party Bucks
  • Roughneck Reels
  • Samurai Slots
  • Spider Guy
  • Volcano Bonus
  • Wild Diamonds
  • Wild Sushi

From what I hear these aren’t nearly as impressive to look at or play as their 3D slots, which come from BetSoft. After playing a few BetSoft slot machines myself, I think I’d agree. Those titles include:

  • 2 Million BC
  • A Night in Paris
  • After Night Falls
  • Arrival
  • At the Copa
  • At the Movies
  • Aztec Treasures
  • Barbary Coast
  • Black Gold
  • Boomanji
  • Enchanted
  • Gladiator
  • Gold Diggers
  • Heist
  • House of Fun
  • It Came from Venus
  • Lost
  • Mad Scientist
  • Madder Scientist
  • Mamma Mia
  • Miles Bellhouse and the Curious Machine
  • Mr Vegas
  • Ned and His Friends
  • Once Upon a Time
  • Paco and the Popping Peppers
  • Rockstar
  • Rooks Revenge
  • Safari Sam
  • Slots Angels
  • Sushi Bar
  • The Exterminator
  • The Glam Life
  • The Slotfather
  • Three Wishes
  • Treasure Room
  • True Illusions
  • Tycoons
  • Under the Bed
  • Under the Sea
  • Viking Age

Looking at this list, it seems to me as if RealBet offers far fewer games than a casino that runs on Real Time Gaming software, or a mix of RTG and BetSoft.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing, as it seems like most of what’s missing here are some slot machines and maybe a few blackjack titles – when compared to other casinos.

They also offer daily blackjack and slots tournaments, which you can play for both real or play money. The ability to join a tournament for free isn’t something you see offered too often – even online.

They have a mobile optimized site for their casino games, too. One thing I noticed is there’s fewer options to choose from compared to other online casinos.

Your options are:

  • Single Deck Blackjack
  • Six Deck Blackjack
  • Deuces Wild
  • Jacks or Better
  • Joker Poker
  • Baccarat

It’s okay, but not something to brag about. You’ll find 2-3x more at other US-friendly casinos. You’ll probably have a better time sticking to the desktop casino. You could also try playing the full site from your tablet.

Their main offer is a welcome bonus. This is a 100% match offer up to $300, which is somewhat small when compared to other casinos – like $1,800 (total) at Bovada.

But at least they offer a bonus; some new casinos don’t, if you can believe that.

RealBet also offers a 20% reload bonus up to $200. This is similar to their welcome bonus, except it’s only for existing customers.

Beyond that they have a refer-a-friend bonus. For every friend you send their way, you’ll earn a 25% match on their deposit, up to $300.

They also offer seasonal promos for football, basketball, baseball, and so on. But since those change often (whenever a new season starts), I highly recommend you bookmark their promos page and check back regularly.

The play through for their offers is 5x for the sportsbook and (a very reasonable) 25x for casino games. However, their terms and conditions say that some games do not count towards the wagering requirements. This is pretty standard across most, if not all online casinos.

But they don’t say which games are which. That’s a problem.

Finally, there’s their rewards points program. You’ll earn anywhere from 1 point (blackjack) to 6 points (slots and keno) for every $1 you wager. You can use these points for real cash or free money. The difference is pretty simple.

Real cash is money you can play with or cash out, whereas free money is more or less like a deposit bonus. It never expires and is used only to play games (where you can cash out the winnings). The biggest difference between the two is you’ll get more mileage out of free money (your points to free money vs your points to real cash). But keep in mind you risk more taking the (extra) bonus money since you’ll have to play it and win, which means you may not have anything left to cash out.

Right now their banking options are limited. They only offer Visa and MasterCard – and they have a max of $1,000 per transaction.

It’s crazy that’s the only 2 banking methods they accept. And it’s definitely one of the first things I’d like to see improved in the near future. It’s hard enough for Americans to make a deposit as is.

The min deposit is $50, which is higher than other sites. But I don’t think it’s so high that it’ll prevent most people from betting there.

To cash out your winnings your only option is a check. You get one free cash out per month, but all cash outs after that will cost you $50. This, too, is a bit higher than other sites, like TopBet ($40). But again, it’s a minor difference and not one that’d keep me from joining.

One other thing – there’s a max of $2,000 per check (for cash outs). All big wins will be paid out at $2,000 per week until your winnings are paid in full.

I’m not a big fan of this because you could have to wait weeks for a large jackpot. Also, you sort of have to wonder why they won’t just pay you what you’re owed – surely if they have the money they could cut you a larger check?

But this is a relatively normal practice – other casinos do it, too. So, I wouldn’t put much weight behind it. Nothing sinister anyway – just annoying.

You can contact RealBet using one of these options:

Envelope
Customer Service Phone: 1 866 839 5255
No Live Chat

They also have a solid looking help section for general questions.

RealBet looks like a decent option for being a new sportsbook/casino. And the reviews of them have been positive – nothing major or negative to report.

That said, there are some things I don’t like and would like to see improved.

For example:

  • Increase their max cash out from $2,000 per week to something larger, like $4,000 or $5,000 per week. Or, even per request.
  • They need to define their bonus terms. What games can you play or not play to earn your bonus?
  • They need more banking options. 2 credit cards (no e-wallets, money transfers or e-checks accepted) and 1 option for cashing out IS NOT enough.
  • I’d like to see more games. And definitely more mobile games.

The bottom line – they’ve made a decent first try. But I think they have plenty of room for improvement before they could be considered a “major leaguer”, in either the sports betting or online casino industry, let alone both.

But I see no reason not to check them out if you’re looking for a new place to join.
