Our 2017 Red Stag Casino Review

Today we’re going to review Red Stag Casino.

Have you heard of them before?

Red Stag is one of several casinos owned and operated by Deck Media. Other casinos they oversee include Sloto’Cash, Black Diamond and Uptown Aces Casino.

But don’t make the mistake of assuming Red Stag brings nothing unique to the table. Or that Deck Media stamps out casinos and makes all of them the same - because that’s not the case.

Some of Deck Media casinos are similar – they’ll take the same approach to 2-3 of their casinos, but then they’ll change it up and do something different for the next batch.

And that’s the case here with Red Stag. In fact, I’ve reviewed nearly 10 of Deck Media’s casinos so far and have not seen one like Red Stag yet.

What’s sort of interesting here is they don’t offer bitcoin on cash outs, though they do for deposits. Usually it works both ways.

Here’s how that works:

The minimum deposit to receive a bonus is $25. And you must have less than $100 in your account before you can claim a (your next) bonus.

Red Stag has more than 150 games from software provider, WGS Technology. While WGS Technology’s games won’t blow you away, what I like about this setup is simply that it’s different. I don’t see their games too often, much less come across a casino with only their games.

The point – chances are that, even if you’ve been playing online for years, that you’ll find something different or unique to play here. And I think that’s pretty cool.

But let’s look at some specific examples of games you can play here. The following are lists of games from each major category, as well as any thoughts I may have about them.

My only comment here is their overall selection is small. They have 12 games, but half of them are blackjack and roulette. It’d be nice to see either more games overall, or more diversity with the number of games they have now.

That said, it’s neat to see games like Mulligan Poker and 10 High Hold’em. You won’t find those at just any online casino.

So, how do you play Red Stag’s games? You’ll have two options.

If you’re not sure which to go with, I often recommend the browser casino. You don’t need to download anything or clog up your PC with a bunch of casino files. It also gives you maximum freedom. Other than that, I liked what I saw. They have a few filters to help you find the games you’re after faster. And they have a diverse selection of games – you could 3 and 5-reel slots, video poker, table games and tournaments.

Red Stag’s support says their mobile casino is compatible with all devices. I’m skeptical, as most casinos aren’t. But I couldn’t test this to prove them right/wrong, either. So, I’ll just say to not get your hopes up, and to test this out for yourself.

So, should you check Red Stag out? Here are my thoughts…

I’m not a fan of their $150 cash out limit (of money you’ve won with their bonus funds). And, I’m not a huge fan of the $2,000 week payments for people who’ve won a large (jack)pot. Or, how they accept bitcoins for deposits, but are not yet able to cash you out via bitcoin.

Those are my biggest complaints. But the limits are pretty standard for online gaming, and not being able to use bitcoin for cash outs sounds like a temporary thing. Their support says they’re working on it.

And I am a fan of their software. Few casinos use WGS Technology that I know of. Even fewer yet only use them. So, this gives you a unique reason to check them out, even if you’re already a customer at one of Deck Media’s other properties.

On top of that they have a rather large deposit bonus, as well as several bitcoin bonuses, cash back and a VIP program with several additional offers for you to claim.

And, more importantly, I couldn’t find any scams or major complaints. I only found 1 complaint on AskGamblers.com. And even though they’re a newer casino, if they were a scam or ran their casino poorly, you could bet there’d be far more complaints than that.

These guys gave me like $25 or $50 to try them out around this time last year. I go on and mess around every once in awhile. always seemed to have had $50-100 in my account. Hit a nice run here recently and went to cash out $650 and they tell me I am not eligible to cash out because I have never deposited there before. Hello, my deposit was the money you gave me. I guess for future players if they give you free money......YOU MUST LOSE IT ALL AND DEPOSIT MONEY BEFORE THEY CONSIDER YOU A REAL CUSTOMER. Not only did they not cash me out they took all of the money away I had in my account and told me to deposit money to take advantage of their current promotion. Nice way to run a business guys.

Ive been plying for more than a year with red stag. I have requested and received one cash out which I ended up getting nasty with them to receive. I have now requested my second cash out and have waited nearly two weeks. My account is still in pending status which means I can't deposit which means I can't play. It's stupid. I don't trust them any more at all. i hope they pay me but I'm wondering. Been given the run around and straight up lied to.
