Sports Interaction Online Sportsbook and Casino Review

In 1997 the world was still in awe as the power of the internet transformed our daily lives.

Shopping, booking accommodations, finding a new place to eat – seemingly everything could be accomplished online. At that time, the concept of turning a web site into a fully functional sportsbook, casino, poker room, or associated gambling enterprise wasn’t yet on the mainstream radar.

Sure, a few pioneers – such as software provider Cryptologic – were testing the proverbial waters as early as 1994. For the most part, however, the average player had yet to discover the idea of online casino gambling.

Enter the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

In 1997, a First Nation tribe known as the Mohawks of Kahnawake enacted the Kahnawake Gaming Law, which called for the creation of an independent gambling commission to oversee the tribe’s entrance into the world of online gambling regulation

By 1999 a fully codified set of regulations had been put in place by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, with the goal being to allow online gambling operators to seek licensing, oversight, and other essential services while operating in the legal “grey zones” of North America.

On November 30 of that year, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission announced the creation of the continents first fully regulated online sports betting operation. Known as Sports Interaction, the comprehensive sportsbook platform was designed to provide Canadian residents (and at the time, Americans) to wager real money on sporting events from the comfort of their computer.

In a statement announcing the formation of Sports Interaction, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission outlined the site’s operational philosophy:

“Sports InterAction is the first sports betting company to be authorized by the Kahnawake Indian Nation, which recently enacted its interactive gaming regulations to license and regulate online gaming.  The new regulations are part of their stated aim to provide a secure, efficient and highly regulate environment for online gaming. The Nation has invested a considerable amount of time and expertise in developing regulations specifically to cater to, and to regulate, Internet gaming.  The expertise of former New Jersey gaming regulator, Frank Catania, was enlisted in framing the regulations. Sports InterAction will now operate from their new base in Canada under the jurisdiction of the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. Company officials are confident that being based and regulated in such a reputable jurisdiction in North America the company was formerly licensed in the Dominican Republic will boost the company’s credibility and enhance consumer confidence in using an online betting service.”

That confidence in the concept proved to be well supported, and over the next two decades, Sports Interaction developed into one of Canada’s leading online gambling providers. The sportsbook foundation was soon supplemented with online casino and poker room components, courtesy of software partnerships with industry leaders like Playtech, Betsoft, and Evolution Gaming.

You’re up to speed on the history of Sports Interaction, so without further ado, I’d like to run through three reasons to consider the site:

  • It’s the original licensee of the Kahnawake Gaming Commission:

The Mohawks of Kahnawake made a bold gamble to regulate online gambling, one which has paid off in spades for the tribe.

Today, over 50 of the world’s most well-known online gambling properties are proudly licensed, allowing millions of players to enjoy their favorite pastime without fear of unscrupulous business tactics and other issues.

  • Two decades of continuous operation has to account for something:

Every online gambling enterprise encounters its fair share of criticism and complaints – that’s just par for the course when players who are losing money.

And while Sports Interaction has been linked to some shady dealings in its time, the site has weathered the storm for two decades now. In an industry that is often defined by its “bad actors” – or those sites who choose to screw players, take the money, and run – Sports Interaction has provided solid enough service to stay open for all of these years.

  • Limiting the scope to Canadian customers ensures no future legal entanglements:

Online gambling is under fire in places like Australia and China, while America’s sordid history with the industry is well documented. For this reason, Sports Interaction’s decision to focus solely on the Canadian market is a savvy move.

Rather than spread its operation to thinly by trying to capture American or European market share, the site simply serves its customer base loyally and keeps its collective eye on the ball. So while other sites may be caught up in the U.S. crackdown on offshore operators, Sports Interaction is in the clear.

Every online gambling site is known for offering a distinct array of enticing bonus offers.

By now, most players have realized by now that the bonus funds handed out are much harder to actually claim, based on egregious “playthrough” wagering requirements. Even so, the sites love to lavish “gifts” on new players and regulars in the form of bonuses, and Sports Interaction is no exception.

Take a look below to see the various bonus offers on tap at the moment:

New Account Welcome Bonuses

  • Sportsbook Bonus – 100 percent match on first deposit, up to $125
  • Casino Bonus – 100 percent match on first deposit, up to $100
  • Poker Bonus – 100 percent match on first deposit, up to $600.

Reload Bonuses for Existing Accounts

  • Reload Bonus – 15 percent to 50 percent match on deposits to Casino

Referral Bonus When Friends Join

  • Referral Bonus – 100 percent match based on referral’s first deposit of $25 or more, up to $100

Bonus Details

Those playthrough requirements I mentioned are serious stuff, as you won’t be able to “unlock” the bonus funds for withdrawal purposes until you place a certain amount of bets. These requirements are typically expressed as multipliers, such as 5x, 8x, and 10x.

Check below to see the various playthrough wagering requirements assigned to each bonus:

  • Welcome Bonus - 8x playthrough wagering requirement
  • Reload Bonus - 8x playthrough wagering requirement
  • Referral Bonus - 5x playthrough wagering requirement

Note that these requirements apply to both the initial deposit and the bonus amount. So a 5x playthrough requirement on a $100 bonus – generated by a $100 deposit – would have you place $1,000 in wagers ($100 + $100 = $200, multiplied by 5x = $1,000) before that $100 in bonus funds can be released.

As a Canadian facing online sportsbook and casino brand, Sports Interaction knows where its bread is buttered.

Therefore, unlike competing sites that are compatible dozens of different currencies, this one offers only two:

  • Canadian Dollars (CAD)
  • United States Dollars (USD)

In terms of security measures put in place to protect your sensitive financial information, Sports Interaction utilizes the Norton Secure Seal from Symantec, the leading authority on encryption technology.

By integrating the Transport Layer Security (TLS) system – which improves upon Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption – the site remains on the cutting edge of data security.

Sports Interaction also submits to voluntary independent compliance assessments on a quarterly basis, with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) providing strict oversight of internal banking processes.

The encryption methods currently in use all follow Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), and the site is registered with Data Protection (Jersey) Law at the Office of The Information Commissioner.

Other aspects of the Sports Interaction withdrawal system to note:

  • Wire Transfer – All withdrawals totaling $1,000 or more are sent out with zero fees. When you use a wire transfer for withdrawals under $1,000, an extra $10 charge will be added to the $20 nominal fee.
  • InstaDebit – You can score a second free withdrawal each month by using InstaDebit. After that, third and subsequent transactions during the same month will incur a $2 fee, added on to what the site already charges.
  • Check – Any withdrawal via check for $1,000 or more is always free, and there are no limits to this transaction. When your withdrawal is for less than $1,000, a $5 fee will be added to the $20 nominal charge.

Obviously, a site called Sports Interaction is heavily invested in its sportsbook, and that’s the case here.

This platform is built around the sports betting menu, and it has been for two decades now. That means every sport under the sun – or on the ice in Canada’s case – can be found with betting lines and odds posted by the day.

With a scope that rivals that of William Hill, Betfair, and the other European sportsbook behemoths, bettors can spend hours sifting through the choices offered here.

If you’re interested in football (soccer to Americans like myself), this site allows you to bet on everything from the most prestigious leagues and tournaments to the lowest levels of the sport. If the match has two goalposts and a black and white ball, chances are good that Sports Interaction offers odds.

While soccer does represent a decent chunk of the thousands of wagers at your disposal, pretty much any game, match, sport, or contest can be found on the site. From curling to cricket, handball to horse racing, and everything in between, you’ll find an accurate line posted for that day’s events.

The sportsbook’s depth is simply astounding. Along with the major athletic pursuits that most punters lay their action on, Sports Interaction also specializes in supplementary wagering on things like video games (eSports), entertainment industry outlets like the Oscars or Grammys, and even the results of ongoing political elections.

Watching this year’s Wrestlemania pay per view with the kiddos? Tossing a fiver on John Cena or The Undertaker to claim the championship belt is a great way to liven things up. Every two years the world is captivated by either the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, and you can back your country’s top performers through every event. Darts, snooker, lacrosse, rugby… whatever sport you enjoy following, Sports Interaction has you covered.

I’ve compiled an exhaustive listing of every single sport and wager type offered on the site, broken down into leagues and other categories, so check below to find your favorite games and events:

Many recreational bettors enjoy the added thrill – and added risk to reward ratio – inherent to parlay betting. This style of bet allows you to combine two or more wagers into one, so you might back the Detroit Red Wings to down the Philadelphia Flyers, while simultaneously taking the Over of 5.5 goals on the game.

This “two leg” parlay would then require the Red Wings to win and the total score to reach six goals or more. Detroit winning a 1 0 game, or even a 3 2 thriller, wouldn’t work for this parlay, because the all legs of the bet must be winners.

Of course, this is more difficult to accomplish than a single wager, so you’ll enjoy increased odds on your money for landing a parlay. With a wager of $100 on that hockey two leg parlay, we’d collect a nice profit of $164 – more than the straight double up you’d earn with a basic bet.

Check below to see the exact payout scale used to settle parlays on Sports Interaction:

Payout for Parlays by Number of Teams/Bets

TEAMS/BETS PAYOUT
2 2.64 to 1
3 6.96 to 1
4 13.28 to 1
5 25.36 to 1
6 48.41 to 1
7 92.42 to 1
8 176.45 to 1
9 336.85 to 1
10 643.08 to 1

Finally, a modified version of the parlay bet known as a “teaser” is quite popular among American football and basketball bettors.

With a teaser bet, you’re still taking two or more legs, but in this case, you can adjust the point spread or total in your favor. This makes the bet easier to win, of course, so the payouts aren’t as “juiced” as you’d find when wagering on parlays.

A basic teaser bet in the NFL would see you back the Miami Dolphins, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Houston Texans all on the same Sunday. Those three teams offer point spreads of (- 3), ( -6.5), and (+4), respectively, under normal circumstances.

But you’ve chosen a 6 point teaser, so all three point spreads are then adjusted by 6 points in your favor. That (- 3) for Miami becomes a (+3), the Dallas line moves from (- 6.5) to just ( 0.5), and the underdog Houston team goes from (+3) to a whopping (+9).

Using the teaser format, conservative bettors can still enjoy the parlay style action of combining wagers, while reducing their risk in the process. Underdogs grab a touchdown’s worth of additional points, and favorites see their wide spreads slimmed down.

This process works for Over / Under totals as well, so an expected shootout with a total of (61.5 points) could be shaved down to a more manageable (55.5).

You’ll still need to hit each of the wagers included on a teaser bet to win it though, so be mindful not to choose too many legs.

Even though the sportsbook is Sports Interaction’s gravy train, every online gambling platform worth its salt should offer a casino component.

If not for us players, then purely for the sake of business, as casino games are always designed to favor the house over the long run.

Thankfully, the operators of North America’s original online gambling site were ahead of the game in more ways than one. By partnering with Playtech, the paragon of online slot and casino game design, along with competitors Betsoft and Evolution Gaming, the casino is definitely in good hands.

A menu of nearly 400 slot machine titles provides the foundation, while the classic table games like blackjack, roulette, and craps are all available in various forms. When a bevy of hybrid table games like Three Card Poker and Let Them Ride, along with scratch cards and novelty games, keno, bingo, and much more are added to the equation, this online casino really does have it all.

Read on to learn all about the casino game menu on Sports Interaction, with full listings for each game type, and other need to know information:

SlotsSlot Games

Sports Interaction Casino is able to spread more virtual slot machines than many competitors can across all the game families.

That’s because Playtech is a recognized slot design leader within the industry, both by virtue of their own in house design team, and through lucrative partnerships with major media brands like Marvel. With comic book heroes dominating the silver screen of late, it’s quite the treat to see your favorite Avengers like Thor and The Incredible Hulk along the reels.

See below for a list of some of the most popular slot games, in alphabetical order for convenience, found on Sports Interaction:

  • Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
  • Age of the Gods
  • Age of the Gods: Prince of …
  • Age of the Gods: Goddess of …
  • Iron Man 2
  • Jekyll and Hyde
  • John Wayne
  • Kong: The 8th Wonder of …
  • Spiderman: Attack of the …
  • The Incredible Hulk
  • The Love Boat
  • Top Gun

Card GamesTable Games

When it comes to table games to fill out the Sports Interaction Casino section, the site’s partnerships with multiple software providers really comes in handy.

Playtech may have the bases covered in the virtual slot department, but in only offers a few basic takes on roulette. That’s where the work of Betsoft and Evolution Gaming work wonders, as the roulette section of the table games menu can easily be rounded out with a few other versions.

Baccarat

The classic “game of kings,” baccarat is a deceptively simple yet elegant game of chance found in most casinos around the world.

Each of the four software providers which contributes products to Sports Interaction has their own version of baccarat on the menu:

  • Baccarat (Playtech)
  • Baccarat (Betsoft)
  • Baccarat (iSoftBet)
  • Baccarat (Evolution Gaming)

In each case, the game plays out in identical fashion, following the same rules, gameplay procedures, and drawing tableau as you’d expect to find in any brick and mortar casino.

The following pay table is used across the board:

BET PAYS HOUSE EDGE
Banker 0.95 to 1 1.06 percent
Player 1 to 1 1.24 percent
Tie 8 to 1 14.36 percent
Pairs 11 to 1 10.36 percent

Video PokerVideo Poker

The lineup of Playtech powered video poker variants isn’t the most diverse I’ve ever seen, but it covers the basics and includes just enough variety to pass muster.

Rather than spread as many versions as possible, Sports Interaction chooses to focus on a few key branches of the video poker family tree. To flesh out the menu, the site then offers offshoots for each title that simply allow you to play multiple hands simultaneously.

You’ve probably seen these “Multi Hand” machines in the live casino setting before, and all they do is deal out the same set of five starting cards multiple (4, 25, or 50) times over. At that point, you can make your hold / discard decisions as per usual, before 4, 25, or even 50 unique decks deal out random replacements for each hand.

Multi Hand functionality can make the big hands extra exciting. Just imagine receiving a four card royal flush, but rather than taking one shot to find that elusive Q of diamonds, you have 25 different deals to work with. That’s the appeal of Multi Hand style video poker, and Playtech builds its menu around the concept.

Take a look below to see the 20 video poker variants are on tap, along with their Multi Hand additions:

  • Aces and Faces
  • Aces and Faces (4 Hands)
  • Aces and Faces (25 Hands)
  • 10’s or Better
  • 2 Ways Royal
  • All American
  • Deuces Wild
  • Deuces Wild (4 hands)
  • Jacks or Better
  • Jacks or Better (4 Hands)
  • Jacks or Better (50 Hands)
  • Jacks or Better Progressive
  • Jacks or Better Progressive (10 Hands)
  • Jacks or Better Multi Hand (1, 4, 10, 25, 50, or 100 Hands)
  • Joker Poker Kings or Better
  • Joker Poker Kings or Better (50 Hands)
  • Mega Jacks Progressive
  • Pick ‘Em Poker
  • Pick ‘Em Poker (10 Hands)
  • Two Way Royal

I’ll assume you’re familiar with the ins and outs of these classic video poker variants, so I’ll spare you a description of the rules, but when in doubt, just search for “Playtech + name of game” to find a detailed breakdown of the rules.

One variant to take note of is known as Two Way Royal, as this is just Jacks or Better with an additional hand thrown into the mix. If you can land a 2 3 4 5 6 straight flush in this game, it counts as the other half of the titular two way royal flush, so you’ll earn the same 800 coin jackpot payout.

And as one of the few skill games found in the casino, video poker warrants a deeper dive into the numbers, so check out the table below to compare the pay tables and all important expected return rates for each title:

GAME PAY TABLE HANDS RETURN

Two Way Royal 800 50 40 6 5 4 3 2 1 1 99.80 percent

You’ll have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the table to find it, but the video poker game with the highest expected return is actually the Playtech designed Two Way Royal at 99.80 percent.

If basic video poker is more your thing, the standard Jacks or Better format offers a great 99.54 expected return rate – second best on the menu.

Specialty GamesScratch Card Games and Keno

If you’re a gambler who enjoys playing pure games of chance, Sports Interaction Casino has you covered.

The site’s menu of scratch card and novelty games runs deep, with most titles linked to the company’s portfolio of Hollywood licensed pop culture properties. You can find the full list of 11 scratch card style lottery games below:

  • Blackjack Scratch
  • Blade
  • Classic Slots Scratch
  • Gladiator
  • Irish Luck
  • Marvel: Captain America, the First Avenger
  • Marvel: Iron Man 2
  • Marvel: The Avengers
  • Marvel: Thor, the Mighty Avenger
  • Rocky
  • The Mummy

These games all play out just like you’d expect having played convenience store scratch cards. The bells and whistles will differ based on theme, but the long and short of it is this: these scratch games are high risk, low reward, and no skill propositions. You can certainly enjoy playing them, but it’ll be harder to enjoy a profit.

In the same vein of luck based games, Sports Interaction Casino spreads a few curious novelty wagers that are akin to betting dollar bills against your buddy:

  • Around the World
  • Dice Twister
  • Genie Hi Lo
  • Heads or Tails
  • Mega Ball
  • Rock Paper Scissors
  • Roller Coaster Dice
  • Spin a Win

These games are nothing more than crapshoots, which is fine for many recreational players. And if you’ve ever watched the cult classic Vegas Vacation, starring Chevy Chase and the Griswold clan, you know that ditching the standard fare for oddball offerings like Rock Paper Scissors can sometimes lead to a swing in fortunes.

Finally, fans of the lowest expectation game found in any casino – keno – can take part in two different versions of the game:

  • Fortune Keno
  • Keno Xperiement

Aside from the title and theme, however, each of these games is essentially the same. You can bet anywhere from $0.10 to $2.00 per card, up to five cards per draw, and between 1 and 10 numbers per card.

From there, the following pay table is used to settle winning wagers:

Pay Table to Settle Winning Wagers

And even though keno is the furthest thing from a strategy oriented game, take a look below to compare the expected return rates offered when choosing between two and 10 spots:

SPOTS RETURN
2 92.09 percent
3 92.96 percent
4 92.03 percent
5 92.58 percent
6 92.67 percent
7 92.44 percent
8 92.75 percent
9 92.00 percent
10 92.55 percent

Two things to note about Sports Interaction’s dual versions of keno:

First, the correct strategy is clearly to choose three numbers, or “spots,” on your card, as this offers the highest expected return possible of 92.96 percent.

Second, that expected return is actually not too shabby, at least when compared to the 74 percent average return offered by keno parlors in brick and mortar casinos. With a house edge of right around 8 percent, these two keno games are more like bad table games than the very worst bet in the room.

SlotsProgressive Jackpot Games

You can find a full listing of the 18 casino games linked to a progressive jackpot network below:

  • A Night Out
  • Beach Life
  • Blackjack Multi Hand Progressive
  • Blade
  • Cine – a – Rama
  • Diamond Valley
  • Fruit Mania
  • Genie Hi Lo
  • Gold Rally
  • Jacks or Better
  • Marvel: Captain America, the First Avenger
  • Marvel: The Fantastic Four
  • Marvel: The Incredible Hulk
  • Marvel: Iron Man 2
  • Mega Ball
  • Progressive Diamond Jackpot
  • Queen of the Pyramids
  • Wall Street Fever

All but two of these titles – Jacks or Better and Blackjack Multi Hand Progressive – are virtual slot machine games.

Video poker players know all about Jacks or Better, while Blackjack Multi Hand is simply the traditional form with several “spots” dealt out at once, and these standard versions of the game are both linked to a progressive jackpot network as well.

One of the longest running online poker rooms in North America, the Sports Interaction poker component has been providing players with a place to play for over a decade now.

By partnering with the popular iPoker network, Sports Interaction essentially serves as an iPoker skin – which is great considering it falls under the Playtech umbrella. Simply put, Playtech is one of the most respected names in the online gambling industry, and just as they’ve done with virtual slot design and software engines, the company hit a homerun with its iPoker network.

In fact, the PokerScout online poker traffic tracking site lists iPoker as the sixth most populated network on the planet, with its seven day average of 1,100 players beating out even the vaunted PartyPoker. Collectively, the various iPoker skins like Sports Interaction Poker combine to eclipse the traffic total of the Winning Poker Network (WPN), home to America’s Card Room and one of the only online poker platforms still serving American customers.

The site invites new players to take part in the generous 100 percent online poker bonus, which matches your first deposit up to $600.

From there, the admittedly barebones graphics and interface found on Sports Interaction Poker belies the site’s comprehensive nature. Poker aficionados will find several different variants to accompany the standard Texas Hold’em, including Pot Limit Omaha, Omaha Hi Lo, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi Lo, and Six Plus Hold’em.

The first few games should be familiar to regular grinders, and even most laymen, but the last one on the list is actually a unique new take on the classic card game.

When playing Six Plus Hold’em, you’ll be using a modified deck containing only 36 card, with the 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s all removed. Aces can still be used as high or low cards when making straights, so the lowest possible straight in this game is the ol’ A 6 7 8 9. Other than these provisions, Six Plus Hold’em plays out exactly the same as traditional Texas Hold’em – but with an added dynamic of action added by the high card heavy deck.

Aside from this unique addition to the poker landscape, Sports Interaction offers a full-fledged online poker room that players of all stripe will appreciate.

Tournament specialists can take part in basic Multi Table events, one table Sit and Go’s, or Heads Up affairs. In each case, the stakes range from micro  to high roller, and the iPoker network’s steady stream of traffic ensures you’ll always have tables up and running.

Additional tournament formats to choose from include Re buy and Add on events, Freezeouts where you’ll only have one life to lose, Shootouts that combine the multi table format with sit and go dynamics, small buy in Satellites that feed into larger buy in tournaments, and Freerolls awarded to regular players which cost nothing to enter.

If cash games are your thing, the aforementioned list of poker variants can be played at the Limit, Pot Limit, and No Limit stakes.

If you’re just starting out, the lowest stakes games start at just $0.01 / $0.02 blinds. And once you’ve built up a sizable bankroll, the biggest games on the block reach the $10 / $20 blind level.

Whichever tables you decided to tangle with, the combination of Playtech software and iPoker interface should provide a smooth and seamless gameplay experience. The card graphics are crisp and bright, bets and pots are calculated instantly, and the game is managed like a professional dealer is on hand.

Another fun element found on Sports Interaction Poker concerns the pursuit of Leaderboard honors. You’ll have three separate ways to track your results:

  • Sit & Go Leaderboard
  • Cash Game Leaderboard
  • Leaderboard Hall of Fame

By pursuing player points, which are awarded based on your success on the virtual felt, you can climb these Leaderboards each month and try to claim cash prizes. Nothing in poker is better than going on an extended heater – aside from taking home free Leaderboard rewards on the side that is.

You’ll score one Frequent Player Point (FPP) for every $1 the site rakes from pots you’ve contributed to. Additionally, success in tournaments will result in FPPs being awarded.

Overall, the Canadian online poker contingent is well served by Sports Interaction Poker, and they have been for several years running. It’s obviously no PokerStars or anything, but as a one division of a sportsbook oriented online gambling platform, this poker component does its job and then some.

The lone bingo product designed by Playtech is known as Pop Bingo, a title taken from the distinctive “popping” sound emitted by a bingo ball hopper when new numbers are dispensed.

This game makes use of the Latin American bingo card, so you’ll be playing with nine rows and 10 columns which contain the numbers 1 through 90 in sequential order. Each game of Pop Bingo provides players with a pre filled card, so 15 of the 90 number spaces will be randomly filled in.

After placing your wager, the game will dispense numbers one by one via randomized draw, and your job is to match the 15 marked spaces as quickly as possible. Obviously, the best possible scenario would be to collect 15 matches in using 15 balls – which offers a jackpot payout of 10,000 to 1 on your money – but for the most part you’ll be using many more draws to match all 15 spaces.

The following pay table – complete with probabilities and expected return rates for each result –used to govern Pop Bingo can be reviewed below:

As you can see, Pop Bingo offers players an expected return a hair under 97 percent. Along with that jackpot payout, you can win 1,000 to 1 on your wager by matching 15 spaces using between 41 to 45 balls, but that’s still a massive longshot.

Pay attention to the probability column to see how most of your Pop Bingo games will be decided. When you do, you’ll find that more than 80 percent of games will pay out between 1.75 to 1 and nothing at all.

When contacting the Sports Interaction customer support team, you’ll have three languages at your disposal:

  • English
  • French
  • Spanish

That pales in comparison to the dozens of languages offered by bigger sites, but given the focus on Canada, these three seem to cover the majority of the player base.

Sports Interaction clearly specializes in the world of sports betting, as evidenced by the site’s massive collection of wager types. Every day of the year, at any time of day, punters can find action on this site thanks to its sheer scope and depth.

By partnering with a triad of leading software providers – Playtech, Betsoft, and Evolution Gaming – the site also ensures that its online casino and poker components are seamlessly integrated. Boasting top notch graphics and animations, an intuitive interface, and innovative gameplay features, the Sports Interaction casino and poker properties provide the perfect supplement.

The limitation of Canada only may do American and European players a disservice, but that’s fine in my book. Until the legal situation stateside is clarified, Sports Interaction’s operators simply have no incentive to risk their good standing by courting American gamblers.

And honestly, it’s refreshing to see an online gambling site focus solely on a specific market, because the “stretched too thin” phenomenon is bad for the industry. When a site isn’t the best at one thing, it’s probably not all that good at anything, so I’m glad that Sports Interaction targets its core demographic with such gusto.

For online gambling fans living in Canada, or those who travel there frequently, Sports Interaction is likely a well-known destination by now. The site has been in business for over 20 years now, and throughout that time, its combination of a comprehensive sportsbook with casino and poker elements has served its core market well.

And while some customers have taken to the internet to lodge complaints, we have to consider them outliers given Sports Interaction’s longstanding history.

Is the mobile version of Sports Interaction identical to the desktop/laptop version?

That depends on the games you prefer to play.

For sports bettors, the mobile version of Sports Interaction – available on Android, iOS, and Blackberry devices – is essentially a clone of the sportsbook. You’ll be able to bet on any sport, league, or match at your leisure, without any restrictions on your action.

On the other hand, Sports Interaction follows the same template established by major online casinos when it comes to its mobile app. That means the menu of more than 360 virtual slot titles has been pared down considerably, and the selection of table games and other casino offerings is slimmer.

That’s par for the course when it comes to mobile online gambling, however, and considering the sportsbook has been fully integrated, I’d call it a win for players.

Is the US the only country restricted from playing at Sports Interaction?

On the contrary, the United States joins every other country on Earth as restricted from accessing Sports Interaction.

The site is only available to Canadian customers, so unless you have a residence in the Great White North, or consider yourself a regular visitor there, this site is essentially off limits.

Has Sports Interaction ever been in trouble for ripping off a customer?

How do you define the term “trouble?”

If you’re referring to documented cases in which regulators fined or otherwise reprimanded Sports Interaction, not so much.

But if you’re interested in hearing about the experiences of other players, the internet is littered with stories of unsatisfied customers taking their complaints public. For the most part, these player generated complaints pertain to disputed wagers and delayed withdrawals. In a few cases, however, the issue seems to be much more serious, with many players labeling the site a “scam” and accusing Sports Interaction of “theft.”

In one case, a player wagered on a first period line in the NHL, and his side wound up with a 1 0 lead entering intermission. The $100 wager on Montreal ( 0.5) should’ve returned $50 in profit, but according to the player – who provided an email sent by the site’s customer support department as evidence – the bet was “voided” because Sports Interaction posted the wrong line.

A reputable sportsbook, in the brick and mortar setting or online, would usually eat this expense and own up to making a mistake. But as the email posted by the player shows, the site’s operators chose to avoid the honorable route and simply cancelled the man’s winning wager – a wager he would’ve won using either of the lines in question.

More serious complaints stem from unexpected account closures, typically following big wins and withdrawals. I can’t verify these claims as easily, but with several floating around online from the last decade, it stands to reason some of them hold water.

Overall, this site’s reputation within the online gambling community isn’t as strong as it should be, and that’s all on Sports Interaction and its operators. Integrity is the most important thing in this industry, and once you’ve lost that, it’s nearly impossible to earn it back.

With all that said, I’d suggest doing your own research and making an informed decision about whether or not to bring your bankroll to Sports Interaction.

Will Sports Interaction ever return to the American market?

That’s highly doubtful.

Remember, this site was founded back in 1997 to serve the Canadian market, and to this day Sports Interaction remains focused solely on Canuck customers. They could just as easily enter the European market, but this Canadian company prefers providing its services to Canadian customers.

After dabbling in the American market for a few years, Sports Interaction quietly withdrew its marketing efforts within the U.S. following the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) of 2006.

In light of that strategic decision, and the fact that online gambling remains banned by federal law stateside to this day, I hold little hope that Sports Interaction will set up shop down South anytime soon.

How long do Sports Interaction withdrawals stay in their “pending period?”

You’ll only be faced with the standard 24 hour pending period for withdrawals, which is nice considering other sites force players to wait upwards of a week.

In case you didn’t know, even when an online gambling site lists their withdrawal times as “Instant,” they still impose a pending period to verify that everything is on the up and up. For players on poorly operated platforms, this waiting game can take several days, and many industry insiders suspect the pending period is used to ensure that the site can even cover the cost of current cash outs.

Sports Interaction has you covered though, so after you initiate a withdrawal your funds will be released within one day’s time.
